De Bruyne kicking a ball again

Exactly why I decided to join the forum. Best internet fun in years ...

Bournemouth Vs City Post Match Thread

Lots of positives but don't overestimate this result. Bournemouth are only interested in staying up and now that their main objective is as good as secured, they've nothing left to play for. Soon as a side like Bournemouth drop their intensity even for 5% or so, a classy side like City will...

    The battle for 4th place

With the Ginger Prince back in town, I don't expect much problems finishing 4th, regardless of what fixtures.

    PSG pre-match thread.

I don't know if you saw PSG v Chelsea but I'm convinced if PSG play City in the same open way, Aguëro, KDB & Silva will be ready to punish them a lot harder than Chelsea could. So I genuinely believe 1-2 or so is a (pretty) realistic result ... Another possiblity is that PSG will adapt their...

[Official] Guardiola to manage City next season

massive step forward for city. and you just know that with guardiola will come one or two absolute beasts of modern football (neymar, messi, müller ...)

    Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

The problem is both players have been played out of position and had to switch too often. De Bruyne, Silva both AMC with Fernandinho behind them (like last 20 min against Everton) would do the job against all sided that are weaker than City. Then you can still put Navas & Sterling out wide for...

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

    That's a tad optimistic..

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

To call any player's injury a blessing in disguise is quite shameful for me, regardless how you see it. That said, I don't agree with your point about balance for the team either. It depends on how you position them and I thought last night with Fernandinho behind Silva & De Bruyne and...

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

Yeah but he's got a point that there's Nasri as well & with Touré no longer capable of doing 90 mins match after match ..

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

For Kompany, I'd just get Denayer back from Turkey. Nasri, KDB, yes I think a replacement would make sense. But who can you get in January without overpaying massively?

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

I'll settle for 6 weeks given the scenes yesterday.. Hope it will not cost City the title though.

    Pellegrini's substitutions last night

Hope you'll forgive my patriotism once again, but I think Dries Mertens (currently Napoli) would be a fantastic signing to replace Navas. Great pace, great attitude, excellent crossing, dribbling, shooting & finishing, and just a lovely bloke all around. What more do you want? The scousers have...

    Pellegrini's substitutions last night

Good calls in the end. I was afraid City would get battered in midfield when taking off Delph for Navas, but they stood their ground and managed to dominate which was ultimately Pellegrini's goal I assume so good on him. Then De Bruyne in for Touré obviously allowed City to kill the game...

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

is this official or personal interpretation?

De Bruyne out for 10 weeks

Let's hope it's only twisted.. De Bruyne was magic last night. Shame Agüero didn't score from that corner at 3-1. The way De Bruyne picked out arguably the smallest man on the pitch there, surrounded by Toffees only, whipping the ball like no one else can, was just pure magic.

    Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

I haven't said that traditional camera view is better than whatever Sky Sports is developping, as a matter of fact it sounds like a great initiative. I don't know if you read all of it, but I did agree on Pablo's point where he said that traditional camera view doesn't give you the helicopter...

    Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

Yes, I understood that and agree. Don't know how it got twisted into preferring telly over stands ... Only counter argument which I found useful was that of Pablo re helicopter view, but I still think regular telly view gives you enough to judge build-up play properly.

    Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

I'm not trying to change your mind, I've long given up on trying to change people's minds. Just posting how I see it. It is not correct that I am the only one btw, as Daxx on here has already stated exactly the same (which started this whole discussion in the first place). Football analysts...

    Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

I can't get my head around how quickly people feel or maybe pretend to feel offended on a forum. I haven't said that YOUR judgement is biased by what supporters around you are shouting, I merely meant as a general remark re watching live at the stadium, that it's more difficult to focus on...

    Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

Yes you do tend to be a bit patronizing when you go into debate :) I said I never had the pleasure to attend a City match live in the stadium, I don't want to bore you with how many years & other games I did see live in the stadium. Just not City. But the principle is the same. Whether you see...
