City v Boro - Pre Match Thread

i woud leave willy in there tbh, bravo's performances so far don't really merit a guaranteed start i hope & expect kdb to start in a central position again, was a lot better there than out left as in the first 40 mins on tuesday. if dinho is indeed injured, i'm sure gundo, kdb & silva can...

    The positive thread.

My actual thoughts are in the Barça - City pre match thread, but especially for this great thread: 0-2 to the City, KDB twice on the counter

4 or 5-1 tonight ... not being a pessimist, just reality check.

    Penalty Taker

    1. Always hit it (hard) inside of the foot to have maximum control over the ball. 2. Curl it around the goalkeeper, not away from the goalkeeper, to keep a maximum distance between keeper & ball at all time. So righties go right and lefties go left. 3. Always hit it bottom corner! It takes the...

    What will work against us?

Well, Belgium showed they can do it without De Bruyne (4-0 v Bosnia), so let's hope City will follow the example next weekend.

    What will work against us?

yes, like 2 out of 12 or something ... if you're trying to deny the negative trend whenever De Bruyne doesn't play, it's pretty pointless imo.

    What will work against us?

One can also argue that the KDB dependency wasn't there yet in the first part of last season, as he was still ramping up. But as of second part last season, City are still to prove being able to win without De Bruyne, no matter what context you place it in.

Gabriel Jesus - 2016/17 Performances - Palmeiras win the league title

great goal last night! look forward to seeing him make his city debut

    What will work against us?

In theory yes, but you can't deny stats: 6 league games lost in 2016: all without De Bruyne --> so: no league games lost in 2016 with De Bruyne in the team record this season all comps with De Bruyne: WWWWWWWWWW record this season all comps w/o De Bruyne: DL There should be plenty of back-up...

haha, maybe give gündo a ginger wig and put him in a de bruyne shirt?? see if that works! as long as it's not Fernando!

    What will work against us?

Sadly, a simple answer to the question in topic: Take out De Bruyne. Done.

    Celtic v City post match

I agree on every single point. Would also like to see more of Aleix Garcia when Gündo & KDB are not fully fit.

    Spurs (a) - pre-match thread

Can I argue: Bravo, Sagna, Stones, Otamendi, Clichy (relative defensive security), Gündogan, Fernandinho, Silva Navas, Agüero, Sterling Thought Navas was excellent in the cup game v Swansea, impressed me more than Sané so far. Aleix Garcia ready to come off the bench if the triangle...

    Spurs (a) - pre-match thread

I don't see why, you'd have to switch to a 4-4-2 and I don't think that's a good option with all the midfielders and outside forwards City have for the moment.
