Based on last year and his Euros', I disagree. He's 34 and has A LOT of minutes on his legs. I think Father Time finally caught up to him last year. I hope I'm wrong.

    Was it, really, though...?

Sterling is one of those players who I really wasn't arsed about leaving when he did, but I kind of sort of miss now. Don't get me wrong, I love Bobb and like what I see from Doku and Savio, but I probably didn't appreciate him enough while he was here, despite how maddening he was at times.

I don't know how people can feel so much less confident with Lewis at fullback when we watched Walker game after game last season getting burned for pace, having brain farts leading to goals, etc., while providing a quarter of what Lewis does for us on the ball in our half and the oppositions.

Good team with options on the bench if necessary. Let's win this for Bobb!

I overlooked that. I like the matchup of Nkunku more for Lewis than the pace Sterling has, anyway.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but why should the ref have let the play unfold there? It was clearly a foul by Hughes before the ball went into the net. It seems I'm in the minority who thinks he got it right. Utterly stupid from Hughes.

It's concerning that quite a few people didn't think Eze was of high enough quality for us.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

Even more impressive for Foden is how the large majority of these players take penalties for their team.

I would love to see that if you come across a link.

Likely, I'm just paying more attention to it due to Bobb's injury, but Danilo for Forest and Goncalo Ramos have both broken/dislocated their ankles over the last 24 hours.

    Mahamadou Susoho

Just seeing that. I see their manager said it's the same thigh he had operated on before—poor lad.

    Adam Wharton

Well, he certainly outplayed Rodri and De Bruyne.

    Eberechi Eze

Seeing how hard a bargain Palace is driving for Guéhi, surely, if we were going to sign him, we'd have activated his RC.

I mean, he bossed our midfield around in the away game, but okay, we'll agree to disagree.

We need to see what we have in Lewis and if he has a future at RB. I'd like to see him go up against Sterling. It'd be hard for him to be worse than Walker was last year, anyway, while giving us far more in a buildup/attacking sense.

    Chelsea (A) - Sun 18th Aug, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I think getting a point away from home here would be a good result while we get back into the swing of things. Chelsea is the shortest favorite for getting in the top four, outside the obvious(us, Arsenal, and Liverpool), for a good reason. They have a very talented squad, and Stamford Bridge...

Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

Same. I've always liked how Spanish clubs will put out a brief describing precisely what was done in the operation, too. English clubs aren't as tight-lipped as, say, hockey teams who either define it as an "upper-body injury" or "lower-body injury" but are still pretty discreet.

Joao Cancelo | Al Hilal Player

It's a no for me. He showed his true colors only a short time after getting the contract he wanted. Not to mention that he cost us just as many games/points as Walker did/does with his brain farts.

Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

I came here to write the same thing. I know his English isn't perfect, but the fact that the club was so quick to brief the press that it was a non-contact injury makes me think it did involve another player. What a shame, regardless.
