Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

I've always been concerned that this was the case. I respected Sane a lot for getting a second opinion and actually opting to get the surgery from a surgeon different from Cugat. From doing a little research this morning about this injury, it seems like a new technique called a 'tightrope'...

Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

On the bright side, it seems like many players have recovered fully from this injury. It appears to be a pretty common injury in the NFL. Mainoo actually suffered the same injury in United's pre-season last year. Isco missed the Euros' this summer because of it. I read John Stockton(most assists...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

We should have been all over him for that price.

It is weight-bearing. The fibula bears nearly 1/6 of the total body weight

Much longer than 8-10 weeks... and Bobb was never going to be loaned out.

Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

Why does every City player go to Pep's friend Cugat? I understand that he's a renowned orthopedic surgeon, but why not go to a surgeon who specializes in this area of the body? Ugh. I'm still so disappointed for him and us. It sounds like a pretty serious operation, too: “Typically, it’s...

? Grealish is already back in training. Sounds like Bobb just had a freak injury.

Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

How does one break their leg from a non-contact injury? I'm sure it's possible, but it seems rare. It seems more likely that @twosips and @BlueMoonRisin’ are right about it being an ankle injury along those lines.

    That's just not true anymore.

Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

I don't know if an ankle injury is better or worse than a leg break. I guess it all depends. Thanks, anyway.

Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

I wish him well. He seems like a genuine person and well-liked by his teammates. I hope it's not a mistake.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I hope that's the case. He was incredible versus us last season. Maybe even try and get the two-for-one deal with Eze ;)

Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

I wonder if Alvarez stays now due to the Omorodion transfer collapsing.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Not as ridiculous as people floating the idea of Ivan Toney.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

It won't happen, and he's certainly not great, but someone like Nketiah for 25M could be a shrewd signing. A lot of pace, works hard, etc. Would replace a lot of what we're losing in Alvarez.

    Chelsea (A) - Sun 18th Aug, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Not starting Bobb would be a huge slap in the face. He's been our best player by a wide margin thus far. I can see Grealish starting, although he didn't do himself many favors with his pre-season. Same for Akanji with Bobb despite Lewis playing great yesterday. Sterling would be a tough...

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2024/25

Watching his highlights back on Twitter, and man, he is so quick. It must be an absolute nightmare trying to stay in front of him. He can also go both ways with no problem.

Lol. To be fair, McCoist is usually very complimentary of us. He's always gushing over Foden.
