Re: Lescott Yeah i'm still here but I have to say that you write a lot of words without actually making any points in particular. The only vague points I can see you've written in your small novel are: 1) Your patting yourself on the back because you have money? 2) You have a stadium 3)...

Re: Lescott Further to my post about our net spend over 6 years I think you'll find it woks out about £4.1m a season. Now my friend in the premier league in this day and age that is one shitty little shoe string! Although your point about Thatcher, Mills and Corridi is fair enough lol ;)

Re: Lescott Oh dear, this is you best attempt at joinign in a debate? I guess you only had a short while to type this tho in fairness before your teacher caught you on the internet... I am right in presuming your about 12 aren't I?

Re: Lescott Everton's net spend over the last 6 years is roughly £24.7m I could only find an article that was until 2007-2008 about net spends over the last 5 years, but as we spent about £2m net last year i've added that to the £22.7m that was listed.

Re: Lescott Exactly, I dont think any Eveton fan has denied you have the potential, but you've not got there yet and its important to be realistic. Spurs put out a towards the end of the seaon in a reserve match and the total cost of that team was over £40m... and thats their resevre team...

Re: Lescott Actually over the last few years we've spent a less then them (net) and have financed a lot of our purchases by selling players, or by paying on the drip. My main point was actually to compare our spending to those attempting to catch us anyway i.e. City, Spurs and Newcastle who...

Re: Lescott I was pointing out that football is a results business. No point in playing great footy and losing... ask Kevin Keegan! I'd rather have finished where we have over the last 5 years and played shite football then played like Barcelona and finished in the bottom half of the table...

Re: Lescott Everyone's said the same for years now yet ever year were outspent by everyone and still finish above our so called rivals. In fact we've only finished outside the top 6 once in the last 5 seasons. You can speculate all you want but we've proved over the last 5 years that were...

    everton bid for new defender

I think there was a bit of bad feeling from some of us when we looked on here as City fans seemed to think we were sooo broke we'd accept £10m for Lescott, and that City could have us over a barrell just at the thought of a cheque that would save us from going bust or something. However I...

Re: Lescott Thanks :) It depends really on how much City really want him. I think one of the papers today (think it might have been the daily fail) reported you'd bid £16m for him. If thats true (and your working on the usual process of offering a lower amount then your willing to pay)...

Re: Lescott Just good to chat to City fans about Lescott seeing as thats an ongoing saga at the mo. Also funny to see people claim they are mates with a player who used to play with Lescott, but doesnt any more, but is a Man City fan, and they know them really well. Luckily the former...

Re: Lescott Lol! I was talking to me dad's mate the other night who is none other then Barbara Windsor! Babs you see is a good close friend of Sir Cliff Richard. Old Cliff often hangs around with Sly Stallone who came to one of our games last season. Sly apparently was talking to Jolean...

    Lescott + more

Yeah I can't see City paying £20m+ for Lescott as it would just send out the wrong signals to any team they were trying to buy a player from... i.e. a selling club could say "well you paid £20m for a player who's not 1st choice for his country, our player is so we want £50m" etc etc. Also I...
