It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I think Kroos would be great on a 1.5 year deal as a player that can play with Rodri or instead of Rodri. Yes, he's physically a bit washed up but with his reading of the game, passing, technique etc. he could easily start in any home game against bottom ten prem side and give Rodri a rest. At...

    Young Boys (A) - Wed 25th Oct, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

I would be tempted to rest Rodri and a couple of other big players. The pitch is terrible and we should have enough to win with a rotated line-up. Even if we were to lose or draw I'm sure we wouldn't have problems winning the group anyway...

    Brighton (H) - Sat 21st Oct, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

All I want for this game is Stones inverting into midfield. In the 20 minutes against ars he showed more composure, confidence & forward passing than Kova, Akanji, Rico or anyone else...

    Injuries - 2023/24 | Ederson cleared to return to training (p 146)

I would love for Stones to be fit to start but seems very unlikely given how long he's been out for... Bernardo pretty sure to start. Of course if Stones gets 30 minutes off the bench tonight there could be a chance to start against ars. Having bernardo and johnny back in starting line-up would...

    Injuries - 2023/24 | Ederson cleared to return to training (p 146)

Crazy that community shield was last time Stones has played and there hasn't really been any official/concrete news about his injury...

    Breaking records/stats thread

It would be great to have Stones back for Arsenal but it seems very unlikely... Last time he played was community shield and there has been no news about even returning to training...

    Eberechi Eze

Only foden, alvarez and kdb are attacking midfielders (kdb out 4-5 months) and we play with two attacking midfielders so I feel like another attacking midfielder would be quite helpful

Assessment of our business this summer | Poll Added

I know ansu fati and joao felix might be available for loan moves. They could work well as impact subs in terms of creativity but then again I have mixed feelings about their suitability in terms of workrate/attitude/personality...

Assessment of our business this summer | Poll Added

Purely because of KDB injury, I think we need a one akanji type signing who can play as an attacking midfielder and possibly on the wings... Or then we try to loan an attacking player who would be somewhat happy as a bench player. Would of course be incredibly difficult to get required quality...

    Cole Palmer

I would be happy about this Txiki masterclass if the money went towards a replacement, but if we just keep selling players and weakening the squad, I don't really see why we should care how much money City has in their bank account..

    Matheus Nunes

My problem with Nunes is his attitude. He gets tackled quite a lot due to his playing style and quite often he reacts and kicks out at opponents... I reckon there will be some stupid yellow and red cards with him....

I agree, Eze would bring more around the penalty box which is what we need without Gundo, Mahrez, KDB... Kova/Stones can cover Rodri in easier games

    Eberechi Eze

Predominantly number 10 but can also play as a left winger.. So would give cover for the LAM and LW positions in our formation...

    Eberechi Eze

I personally don't see any similarities to Doku.. none. One is an explosive one-on-one winger, one is a passing attacking mid... And also, we pretty much play with two tens or two attacking eights, whatever you want to call it... The foden and alvarez roles in the newcastle game

    Eberechi Eze

He's a central attacking midfielder... not sure why so many on this forum are convinced that he is a winger... Pep would most likely use him as the left sided attacking 8 in our formation
  16. R

    Eberechi Eze

Eze isn't really a pace merchant... more like a flairy, skillfull number 10 with a good weight of pass...

    Eberechi Eze

Also, Kovacic can do a good job as a DM in most games especially at home...

    Eberechi Eze

Well I'm sure that if one of those elite names (Barella, FDJ, Kimmich, Wirtz etc.) were available for similar price, City would buy them... It seems that none of those clubs want to sell / none of the players want to leave, so Eze is a decent option... More attacking and creative than FDJ...
