I also understand where you’re coming from, but how sure are we that the play is indicative of a lost dressing room and not the complacency that usually comes with winning so much? How can you conclude that the World Cup has not had a detrimental effect on us when we had the most players in...

Well you’re right, cycles end. We have actually been transitioning for the past 3 years considering the amount of winners we have lost. More than any club, except Pep kept us in the mix and winning despite that. It was always going to take some time adapting to Erling after no striker, our...

Plus he can play those passes to Haaland nobody else in this city team seem to be able to see!

We scored 6 against the team in third place and Tottenham are extremely defensive. I absolutely do agree that we have been slow and ponderous for a while, especially since the United game. Thought the Chelsea game was good and we will need Foden to focus on his football. I also think the moment...

Foden got sick in the hotel, and even before that it was clear his mind hasn’t been fully focused on football lately. Cancelo left because he has an awful attitude when he’s not playing and that has nothing to do with Pep (Also Cancelo has played more mins than any of our defenders this season)...

How does that make sense when every City team to have won the league in his time played slightly differently? So he’s stubborn and unwilling to adapt like Wenger but on the other hand he’s a tinkerer? For all the talk about being so awful and slow (some of it is warranted) we’re still the top...

Bad game. Tired Rodri, unfortunate Kalvin hasn’t shown the professionalism and fire to help the team, he was brought in so we wouldn’t see a burn out Rodri swimming against the tide. Bernardo needs to leave, offers next to nothing and ignored obvious Haaland runs multiple times, but he’s not...

You’re right. Out of curiosity, who would you have replace the only manager in world football with a 70+ percentage winning rate who’s lowest position ever in league competition is 3rd???

I tend to disagree. Outside KDB and Foden we lack a creative player who can conjure something out of nothing through dribbling or shooting from distance. He’s also a better passer/final third decision maker than anybody else IMO.

    General transfer rumours

Anyone think Lavia this summer for £40 mil is a viable option? Great physical presence coupled with high intelligence and familiarity with our style/project. Can pick a pass and has excellent pace, also has a great mentality X work ethic. As he’s shown at Southampton he’s premier league ready too

Cannot understand the reaction to Maddison. Two-footed, brilliant dribbler/creator with great goalscoring potential and set piece ability. Familiar with the league. More of a goal threat than anything we have barring KDB. One year remaining on contract and currently 26 years old. If he has...

Txiki better snap him up in a year then! His stock will explode after the Euros if they hadn’t before then

Dominik is great shout but Wirtz has that electric pace/aggression with a final pass that belies his age (and often executed at pace a La Kevin). Got to say I disagree with those saying Maddison isn’t good enough, one of the most constantly inventive players in the premier league and adept in...

Thanks, hopefully he gets a run in Xabi Alonso’s side and shows his pre-injury levels. Should have us knocking if he can manage it

Florian Wirtz is the only one who can become what KDB was and he just came back from an ACL. Heard anything about him Tolm?

    Jude Bellingham

Bellingham is better all around but he does NOT have more ability than Felix, that young man can do special things under Pep too.

    Pep Guardiola - 2022/23

Damn, who died in here? He’s the manager with the most wins since he took charge of City, relax! No doubt he had a plan to get us through this part of the season, and he will have a different one once we get back from World Cup. Prepare to blow teams away!

Pep wanted Cucurella in his first season 5 years ago. Was still at Barca at the time
