In the circumstances, that's the best half we've produced in a while. Kovacic in particular has been immense, but they're all putting a shift in. Proud of the players out there, they're showing real character. Stilla long way to go, and Brighton are getting back into it, but so far so good.

I don't like to be negative before a ball has even been kicked, but that line-up does not inspire any confidence. It would be an impressive achievement to get out of there with a point. Hopefully we can somehow pull off a smash and grab.

Really hope we try something different today. We can’t keep being as open defensively as we’ve been in recent weeks. Just hoping that it suddenly clicks with the same line-up/formation seems optimistic at best.

Foden, just for his first-half performance.

Frustrating not to be winning, as that’s the best we’ve played in weeks. Foden in particular has been excellent, which is reassuring to see. Still way too vulnerable defensively though.

Really looking forward to seeing how Simpson-Pusey gets on. He looked really promising against Spurs, but this is a big vote of confidence putting him up against Gyokeres. Worrying that either Ake or Akanji not fit enough to play though, with Stones and Dias already out.

Interesting to see a high profile KC like Nick De Marco backing up what Martin Samuel said. Obviously he has skin in the game, but does feel like the discontent is growing.
