Premier League Games 2/3/4 Nov 2024

Got a feeling that United will win this, just to compound a fairly grim weekend. Chelsea's record at Old Trafford is abysmal recently.

    Sporting CP (A) - Tue 5th Nov, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

No chance that Pep will hang the kids out to dry in a difficult, and meaningful, CL away game imo.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2024/25

Yeah, I think we need to start utilising him more in midfield. It's his natural position, and we're sorely lacking energy centrally at the moment. His confidence will be high after a run of good performances, so it's got to be worth a shot.

    19 | Ilkay Gundogan - 2024/25

He was obviously brought back just to ease the pressure on Rodri, but unfortunately his injury has meant Gundogan has had to play far more than we anticipated and it's clearly taking its toll. Pep needs to find a midfield solution soon, because a Kovacic/Gundogan/Bernardo trio isn't the answer.

    Sporting CP (A) - Tue 5th Nov, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Whilst I think Brighton is, or at least should be, the priority we don’t really have the luxury of rotating much with the injuries we have. Think Pep will play as strong as team as possible out of respect, for both Sporting and the CL, plus we need to try and end this short losing streak. We...

Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Bournemouth were really good and deserved the win. This felt like a defeat that has been coming. We've been winging it for a few weeks now, and it's finally caught up with us. Can't blame the players, they're dead on their feet and we're down to the bare bones in terms of the squad. Got to...

Match Thread | Bournemouth vs. Man City (02/11/24)

Was expecting a difficult afternoon, and so it's proving. Hope Doku and Savinho are fit enough to come off the bench, as we look pretty toothless in attack at the moment.

    Bournemouth (A) - Sat 2nd Nov, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Just seen that. Guess it could just be a scheduled post that his social media team forgot to cancel, but would be a big bonus to have another body back in the squad, particularly a forward.

Sounds like Akanji could be available this weekend.

    87 | James McAtee - 2024/25

Very true, and I'm certainly not writing him off. Hopefully he'll get more opportunities with the amount of injuries we have.

Injuries 2024/25 | Stones, Grealish, Akanji, KDB back in training

I very much hope you're right. There were encouraging signs last night from the youngsters, but we've got three tough away games coming up. I guess we'll find out over the next week or so if they're ready to step up.

    87 | James McAtee - 2024/25

Yes, that was good but overall I thought he could've done more. Guess it's difficult to get up to speed when you're not getting regular minutes.

    87 | James McAtee - 2024/25

I love McAtee, but thought he was pretty quiet last night. Shame, as it was a good opportunity for him, but the other academy lads probably impressed more.

Injuries 2024/25 | Stones, Grealish, Akanji, KDB back in training

You can't really legislate for the amount of injuries we have at the moment, but many voiced their concerns at the start of the season that the squad was too small. It felt like a big risk at the time, and it looks to have backfired already. Just need to get through the next two league games...
