Ian and Neil Mellor Night | Sale Sports Club | Fri Oct 18, 7.30pm

Been asked to post this, for anyone interested... ----------------------------------------------------------------- Neil Mellor was a boyhood City fan after his dad Ian played for the Blues. Neil was a ball boy and part of the club’s Academy, reduced to tears when City were relegated in 1996...

    Not sure about that, tbh.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

It certainly helps highlight the absurdity of the rules.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Like I said, it’s not really the same. They weren’t trying to retrospectively apply new rules to Leicester.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Not really the same, and regardless Leicester successfully appealed the PL decision.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

As much as I like the idea, that doesn’t sound like a realistic possibility to me.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Given that Masters presumably signed off the PL statement on Monday that said that "these elements can quickly and effectively be remedied", then he was either being disingenuous, or simply failed to grasp the matter at hand. Either way, it hints at fairly lamentable leadership from him.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Indeed, which makes their statement on Monday seem all the more disingenuous. “These elements can quickly and effectively be remedied by the League and clubs.”

Having maintained a relative silence for so long on these matters, it’s nice to see us briefing the press more now and helping to set the narrative. Matt Lawton and Mike Keegan seem to be the journalists of choice from our side.

Dunno what @tolmie's hairdoo has heard, but sounds intriguing nonetheless.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Not really. It seems to suggest that the club will still face an uphill battle getting the renegotiated Etihad deal approved, unless our assertion that the rules are now null and void is correct. I think.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

It’d seem a bit farcical after all this if the PL have to reassess the Etihad deal, only to decide that it is still above FMV, particularly in the light of the Etihad CEO’s comments today. But that seems quite possible.

    Txiki's 5 best signings?

Seen a few of these threads on Twitter, so thought it'd be worth asking the question on here. Players only btw, so you can't include Pep in your list. 1) De Bruyne 2) Haaland 3) Rodri 4) Ederson 5) Bernardo

Txiki Begiristain to leave role at end of season

Sad to see him leave, he's been an integral part of our success over the last decade or so and by all accounts a really nice guy. Can't begrudge him deciding to wind down though, and it must be tempting for him to enjoy retirement back home in San Sebastian. It's some legacy he leaves behind...
