    The Labour Government

Meanwhile, the media ask about the "optics" of donations rather than (e.g.) about the optics of getting to work without strikes.

    The Labour Government

I'm betting the Tory press will defend MPs' having second jobs because that's mainly a Tory MP thing (and Reform of course).

    The Labour Government

But if the press keep asking about donations rather than ceasefire?

    Keir Starmer

Seriously? Who's cross at an unfortunate slip of the tongue? You know we'll just keep going back to real damaging stuff by Tory PMs... https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-libya-dead-body-comments-new-dubai-tory-conference-2017-a7981551.html And of course...

    Don't worry. It's those right-wing comedians again.

    Carabao Cup R4 Draw | Spurs (A) | Wed 30 Oct 20:15

Cue the post match thread about spending all that money and going all that way to watch a spineless couldn't be arsed performance.

    Boris Johnson

That was 20 months ago. I don't recall the Tory press being outraged about it. And he didn't have children doing exams. At least none of the children we know about.

Yep. No right-wing comedians. And not a gun in sight.

    The Labour Government

Didn't Boris Johnson do a column about how it was woke to ban "Delilah"? (Don't check. Anyone can apparently get in a huff about stupid untrue stuff and feel a need to post it. The thread has got Trumpishly weird.)

    Middle East Conflict

Britain governed lots of countries. India was never "part of Britain". The law of conquest is no longer international law. Effectively you're arguing that the Arabs were absolutely right to resist a Jewish state if all that matters is winning territory by war.
