    The Etihad Pitch

In the midst of our great winning streak, I saw a lot of comments on the state of the pitch during the Wolves game. We had a few home games for sure but nothing too bad, nor has the weather been horrific. I felt bad that so many were slagging it off - Lee Jackson and his team have been...

    Admitting I’m an Alcoholic

If you cut your drinking, your social circle shrinks rapidly from my experience. I felt isolated after I did it, but stick with it, get into running or something to get those endorphines kicking in and you'll look back in 5 years and have zero regrets.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

Funny how clearer the mind is at 9am. :P I was awake 1am-4am last night - rotten nights sleep. Good point about pub gardens for older folk. That's the thing I like about this forum - people open your mind a bit further. By time April comes, most people over 50 will have been vaccinated I think...

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

I saw the reopening of pubs with gardens as a small thing. Not worth the hassle, might as well as well take a flask to the park. People at my work are booking days off for that week?? Christ. Is it really worth booking a day off for?

How many points will be needed to win the league? (74 GD)

pointsCurrently: United on 50 points. Wining every remaining game (12) would see them gain 36 points and an 86 point finish. City on 62 points. Would need only 24 points. Basically 8 wins from 12. But if say we beat Wolves, they beat Palace. Derby outcome would mean: City win: United 53pts...

    United thread 2020/21

Next 4 league games for them (with Europa shown) Chelsea a Palace a City a (Milan) West Ham h (Milan) Today is pivitol for them to pull away. They beat Chelsea, then they should coast v Palace and be able to go strong against us as it's only the first leg v Milan at home. If they need to rest...

    Liverpool thread 2020/21

Interesting phase of season. Liverpool's top 4 ambitions helped out by us beating West Ham, and even more importantly Arsenal killing Leicester (who lost Barnes for season). Liverpool will also hope - albeit secretly that United win or draw v Chelsea. A Chelsea win could set up a nasty sequence...

Premier League games 27/28 feb & 1st march

Went on a Leicester forum yesterday and they were generally downbeat about top 4 which surprised me. One poster thought they should believe they have an outside chance of the title, but I think that's the spirit bourne out of their title win years ago and no-one seemed to agree with him. Fair...

    Liverpool thread 2020/21

Becker is good guy imo, and this saddens me. To lose someone is hard, to lose someone and not be able to be at home to grieve is equally as bad. I know he'll have support here, both from his club, his friends (all the Brazilians in Manchester and Liverpool are so close), but nothing will hurt...

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

My mother had the Pfizer vaccine today - she's 61. Bless her, she went home and fell asleep for 3 ours immediately after and had a headache as well as some muscle pain around the arm as expected. Jealous.

    Running thread

Had sore toes over Christmas, stopped me from running by start of Jan. My hands started blistering too. Got blood test for COVID toe, and that came back clear. Turns out it was Pompholyx eczema. Had to put steroid on it for 2 weeks and made a recovery. 6 weeks of no running. At time of stopping...

My neighbours have 7 kids, 3 are school age, 4 are over 18 (3 of the 4 have moved out). Each week, the 3 return to the family home. I've then seen the 3 get picked up outside by partners sometimes or bring their kids to see their grandad/grandma etc. On top of that he's a trader, so has various...

    Mid life crisis?

I don't earn that much, neither does my other half. But we're smart with our cash, we both do mon-fri jobs during reasonabe hours and are stress free. Money can make life easier but it can also add stress.

    Everton (A) | Pre-Match Thread

Just Calvert-Lewin.. think they are fielding Josh King in his place. Olsen is getting pelted, so expecting dino-arms Pickford might be back today. Mina/Keane will deffo be centre backs. Fullbacks could be Coleman or Godfrey and Digne or Allan. Midfield will probably, James, Doucoure, Davies...
