City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

To make your post factually correct, Swales was happy enough to support the removal of the 25% of DECLARED gate receipts. The money from 10k fans not shown on the attendance record was never split with the away team :-)

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

No I would say it's perfectly reasonable. A club normally know how much to expect from the PL every year. Suddenly, having predicted an 8 mill spend on legals the PL had to find 45 mill. The shortfall per club isn't much but that was last season. They now have to pay for the 115 hearing which...

More to the point, why didn't any reporter have the decency to mention this obscene payment when they were laying of the normal, hard working, just above minimum wage staff.

Whilst I agree with your post, I've changed it ever so slightly.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

I disagree. They have all the money they want to pay legal fees. It will just mean less money is distributed to the clubs. They will use that, through the media, to make us look bad and turn the clubs against us.

Perhaps the delay is because they realised no one had told Everton

Missouri proceeding with execution despite new DNA evidence

He allegedly confessed to a crack head and an alcoholic whilst in prison. None of the reports I've read mention unreleased evidence. There is no dna evidence, finger prints, nothing that independently puts him as the murderer. For reasons only known to the prosecution, they excluded 6 out of 7...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

@KS55 it doesn't. And as expected it's now being used against big bad City. Several papers have now ignored this part and are just stating that the Premier League will not be able to dish out as much money to the 'little' clubs thanks to the PL having to spend so much on lawyers to fight City...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

And/or they are getting pissed off with how the Premier League is being run. Don't forget they were criticised for the legal bill they tried, and failed, to get Everton to pay. They were also criticised for appealing the Leicester judgement which added to the legal costs. All the so called...

OK they arrested him but they made amends by charging a local unemployed black guy who was near the scene so clearly involved. They apologised to the Sherrif and released him.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Oh dear. The Times are reporting that the Premier League budgeted 8 million for legal bills. They have already spent 45 million on the Everton, Leicester etc cases.

I have to say well done to the rags. A great result tonight and it shows ten hag is turning it around. Their last 4 opening matches in Europe have seen them lose every match so 1-1 against one of the top 12 teams in the Dutch league has to be a great result.

Grappling at corners - my solutions

This. City fans on here are pretty good at criticising Pep and the team, (see the media thread witch hunt against Walker) If we had done what Arsenal did it would have been called a foul all day long. As you state a slight touch on Alisson had a perfectly good goal ruled out. Different rules for...

    Metrolink to / from Etihad

Yes there is congestion and overcrowding but don't worry our Mayor, Andy Burnham is on the case. All you need to do is close down the rail freight yard and move it to St Helens. The cost of several hundred million pounds to do this will come from the government.......... Oh hang on.......let me...

If the rail freight yard is moved to scouse land Trafford/Manchester will lose jobs. How can a Mayor elected to Gtr. Manchester suggest this as a good idea. Plus, why does it need, at a cost of hundreds of millions, to be moved ?
