I actually agree with you. In my eyes Palmer was more than ready to step in to Mahrez’ shoes but evidently the club didn’t see it that way It’s a bad look on the academy.

We’ve got more depth than last season which is a positive LB/LCB - Gvardiol, Ake CB - Dias, Stones, Akanji RB - Walker, Rico 6 - Rodri, Phillips 8 - Kovacic, Nunes, Bernardo 10 - KDB, Foden, Alvarez LW - Grealish, Foden, Doku RW - Bernardo, Foden, Doku 9 - Haaland, Alvarez Obviously...

Because the other 4 are ahead of him…? He’s not starting ahead of Grealish, Doku, Foden or Bernardo on either side unless it’s the odd cup game.

He was the ready made replacement for Mahrez but I don’t see where he gets the game time to develop. Bernardo/Doku/Foden/Grealish are all ahead of him in the pecking order out wide. If I were in his shoes I’d be looking elsewhere

Great side but they can’t control games. A tempo setting DM and a reliable goalscorer out wide makes them a serious title threat, but right now they’re still in a top 4 hunt.
