    Battered or breaded fish supper

Yes. You honestly would love either. Both white fish that flake easily when nicely cooked. Delicate taste but yes they are pricey but then so is cod. We are lucky to live by the coast and get fish delivered to the door.

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

say a bit more about that mate. Why would it not be sustainable and secure now? I can understand why he would delay a 'I'm leaving' announcement but a renewal confirmation can only give stability and confidence surely?

its nicer when the fish is Halibut or even a nice Turbot steak when you can get it.

    Battered or breaded fish supper

I prefer my Cod in a chorizo and parmesan crust. Served on a bed of Spanish beans with sauteed leeks and a smear of pea puree on the side. Washed down with a crisp Chablis. Other than that, Battered. Every time.

    Best City Football you've seen?

The game against Arsenal away when Leroy finished a move with a tap in. That was a special game. Also the home match against Stoke with KDB's pass to Leroy. Think that was 7-2 and we played some magical stuff. The 5 sergio goals in 20 minutes was exceptional fun too.

    TV Series

Episode 1 of wolf hall - the mirror and the light. Totally utterly brilliant. It really captures the essence of Hillary Mantell’s superb novel. Writing production and acting as good as it gets. 10/10.

Rock Evolution – The History of Rock ’n’ Roll - Pop pre-1960 (pg 38)

What? Excellent? She is best live with a good jazz band behind her. She has made some good albums, some poor ones and some in between but there is no denying her talent.

Rock Evolution – The History of Rock ’n’ Roll - Pop pre-1960 (pg 38)

It does. Btw, I have a soft spot for DK. Have seen her twice, both times at the RAH in one of their box thingies supping champagne. She was brilliant both times. Both her voice and as a pianist. Usually has a great band behind her too.

She and other great singers make me physically melt. I'm a puddle.

Rock Evolution – The History of Rock ’n’ Roll - Pop pre-1960 (pg 38)

I really cant think of a british female jazz singer that I like. In fact I can't think of one that would challenge the Americans in a top 20 of all time. Even Diana Krall is Canadian. Elkie Brooks more recognised as a rock singer but she fronted a jazz band I'm sure. Norah Jones?

Probably the finest performance of her career. There was a documentary after the drama in which the real Delia Balmer appeared. Maxwell-Martin had her down to a tee. Uncanny likeness in manner and speech.

Rock Evolution – The History of Rock ’n’ Roll - Pop pre-1960 (pg 38)

people are so different in what they like in music - thats what makes this thread so interesting. Honestly, what did you make of her voice? She is classed amongst the greatest three female jazz vocalists. - Ella, Billie and Sarah. Love them all + Nina Simone is wonderful too, both as a vocalist...

Rock Evolution – The History of Rock ’n’ Roll - Pop pre-1960 (pg 38)

This track is especially for Rob as he doesn't much care for vocalists ;-) Its the music that counts. The devine Sarah Vaughan - September Song.

Rock Evolution – The History of Rock ’n’ Roll - Pop pre-1960 (pg 38)

What a fantastic playlist Jazz has been. I can see myself going back to it repeatedly. Favourite has to be So What. Although I own Kind of Blue, its an album that never stops giving and is as fresh today as when I first listened. I am a big fan of female vocalists and I'm sure there is room on...

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

I don't understand why all the rumour and bad stuff. He is a gem of a guy and an incredible footballer. He will still contribute loads to us when he is back and I don't believe we would have lost three on the trot with him playing.
