    League 1 Thread - 2022/23

Congrats to Plymouth & Ipswich both been relentless in the past couple of months. Typical for us to get 93 points in the season that it's not enough (Wigan won the league with 92 last season, and Hull 89 the season before) but counts for nothing now in the playoffs. We could play Derby in 3 on...

So that's that then! Bar a massive collapse (I mean who'd do that!!!) Plymouth & Ipswich are promoted and we are in the playoffs. Fair play to them both, Ipswich have taken 37 points our of the last 39 which in any division is amazing, and when Plymouth have had a set back they have just...

    Tottenham Thread - 2022/23

Levy like The Arsenal previously is happy finishing top 4 every year, that is the goal as it pays well. Winning trophies requires a lot more investment than he is willing to put in, for me they will always be the big team that doesn't win anything. Since football began in 1992 Leicester City...

    League 1 Thread - 2022/23

Everybody said Plymouth would fall away but out of the 3 they have been in the top 2 the longest so fair play to them. Think that Forest Green game will come back to haunt us, maybe for years to come.

    League 1 Thread - 2022/23

Jeez this league puts you through the ringer!! Winning 0-2 at HT @ Bristol Rovers, Ipswich losing at home to Port Vale, Plymouth drawing 0-0 @ Shrewsbury back to the top of the league. 1 minute into the 2nd half we concede......here we go 5 mins later we lose another player to injury. Ipswich...

    Most annoying football cliche?

There's not much that Wednesday & United fans agree on, but losing their shit after being called "Sheffield" is one of them :)

    League 1 Thread - 2022/23

They'd not won in 2023, Sheffield Wednesday roll into town, put in an abject performance 1-0 to FGR. Since then they've lost every game conceded 10 and scored 1, culminating in relegation back to League 2 yesterday. It's the hope that kills you :)

    League 1 Thread - 2022/23

It's over, we've hit a wall There's no way we can finish above Plymouth/Ipswich now and with Barnsley coming like a train we will finish 4th. Most like then play Bolton over 2 legs who are on a good run, no team does well in the playoffs without momentum. We won't get past the semi-final...

    Most annoying football cliche?

"Gid rid of <insert manager name> now as he has no Plan B" Said by football supporters up and down the land who's qualifications include watching the game after being in the pub since 11am on matchday, or having the ability to take Vauxhall Motors to PL & CL glory 8 years on the trot via...

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

If you had said to a Chelsea fan last August, you will sack Tuchel, replace him with Potter (yes that bloke from Brighton) and end the season with Lampard in charge. Spend the budget of a small country in the January transfer window, which somehow makes the team even worse and finish in...

    Most annoying football cliche?

"Back where we belong" Every club in the football pyramid is where it belongs because previous results dictate that, not history

Wasn't a brilliant performance but at this stage of the season a win is a win. Obviously no Wednesday game would be complete with 2 players coming back from injury but 2 more going off :) Hopefully it's nothing too serious

The Foden shot you mentioned are the ones that have been his achilles heel this season. Regarding Stanley being a formality on Monday, I think you're right I don't see us putting up much of a fight ;)

I'd love to share your optimism m8, and I agree there will be twists and turns to come. Unfortunately though in that scenario it also means we have to win games too, which at the minute seems to be a big problem for us :)
