While played mostly in Rodris position in preseason, I think he can be so good in a Gundogan like role where he defends deep but pushes higher. He has alot of good attacking qualities, would make use of all his attributes.

I like him. But we have way too many central midfielders. Rodri, Kovacic, Bernie, Nunes + Nico and Lewis as youth options for 2 spots.

I like him as the #8, backup to Bernie. Hopefully he can learn that role.

This is a great deal all around. Micah was never gonna get any minutes here, we are stacked with wingers. But if he plays well and becomes one of the top prospects in the championship, the buyback is a no brainer to resell or integrate with older players leaving.

I’m now kind of feeling promoting McAtee and Nico is my preference over another backup player. Felix and Eze are good, but we have a lot of these #10s, too much the same.

Yes, I think Foden or KdB is fine like this. Still think we should buy a tall striker alternative like we had with Dzeko.

I say with how Pep is big upping McAtee and O' Reilly, that we dont need more 10s until kdb or bernie leave, especially not to replace alvarez. We play 442 and currently had 4 options up top in Haaland, Alvarez, Foden and KdB. And now McAtee looks to be an option. Get a cheap, older, tall...

One of those 2 middle players has to play next to Rodri in the middle. Lewis is a great candidate for this and is great in between the lines. Your first 2 line ups dont work for that reason, unless Jack or Phil sits deep next to Rodri when we defend.
