One thing that seems to have dropped off the radar in this thread with the wish for a home end, safe standing etc is what happens to existing SC holders with kids. This is the Family Stand so if it won't be where will they go? They are sitting in what will be prime areas of the expanded stand.

Those reasons are valid but they will have known how far off they are for many months so they either had to throw more at it or delay it further. Like you say, they can move on from the current issues but if the main schedule gets delayed or even cancelled then it's a PR disaster.

Out of interest, what would people consider the 'right' pricing to actually be? I'm in SS3 with no intention of moving but it's just for curiosity/starting a debate. My view is that pricing will be nothing like the mid and upper sections of SS3 (A-K is priced at £745 so not particularly cheap)...
