    Sterling

All forwards can get selfish, I wouldn't say it was his worst fault. He often worked very hard for the team. His abiding fault was indecisiveness when given time. Couldn't decide whether to shoot or pass or where to shoot if shooting and squandered many chances. The upside was that his movement...

I think that's someone who pays of the refs.

    Hugo Larsson

We can't sign everyone and are bound to miss our sometimes We also cannot offer a promise of first team football. But we have signed quite a few players without a high profile for decent sums. Alvarez, Doku, Akanji, Perrone, Ortega, Kayky and Echeverri coming. Some make it some don't.

Does anyone who goes to that club ever merit an add on? Possibly for appearances but all others are usually dependant on being good.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I didn't subscribe to that notion but to be slightly fair to those who did, they were I think talking about Alvarez as the alternative which is no longer an option

    Matheus Nunes

In public, we do not know what is happening in training and around the squad, He may be a model pro , he may be sulky and disruptive, we just don't know.

    Matheus Nunes

Potential benefits include: Financial wages plus loan fee Player development Game time and experience of another league under a successful manager may make him a bigger asset than he currently is. Less Disruption pep is keen on having a small squad and players who are partially developed not...

Joao Cancelo | Al Hilal Player

United signed Mazraoui for €15M and put him straight in the first team. Cancelo is 30, has a reputation as a trouble maker is on big wages and has been unwanted by Juve, City, Bayern and Barca I think we got a decent fee in the circumstances. If he'd got Bernardos work ethic we'd want more...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

If you spend significant money on a player you tend to partly attract him with a longer contract and wages as well. We didn't sign Phillips,Nunes Cancelo and possibly even Grealish cheaply but I suspect they are all on longer contracts/higher wages than we would think they are worth now.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I'm not suggesting it is zero cost, but the risk is lower than paying a large transfer fee. The risk is to the player if he gets injured or loses form he may not get signed up or his contract renewed at a high wage.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Well they got him on a free as they did with Kroos and Rudiger from memory, I don't think they are adverse to suggesting to agents to run down contracts, a low risk policy for them.

He had more than Phillips and looked better. That's not a high bar though I'd agree.

    Matheus Nunes

Although I'm not optimistic about Nunes, there have been quite a few players under Pep who have had pretty restricted minutes with limited success in their first season and have subsequently done a decent job. Ake, Cancelo, Sane, Delph even Bernardo and Mahrez all made limited impressions at first.

    You're the weakest link...goodbye

I was living abroad at the time of the banner and never saw it. Always used to have a soft spot for Ipswich since the days of Bobby Robson with Muhren and Thjissen. They used to play pretty good football and it made a great change from Liverpool.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Well Lewis was played at the expense of Cancelo. Foden generally had plenty of game time, two seasons ago he was getting a bit less than was expected but that was largely because in the first half of the season he was suffering from a foot injury and in the second half of the season...

    Ilkay Gundogan - Done Deal

He's clearly not a long term signing but I would be surprised if we are pinning much hope on Paqueta.

    Ilkay Gundogan - Done Deal

Each return is unique and you can't judge the likelihood of success by looking at very different situations. The return it actually reminds me of most is when Scholars was recalled from retirement by Ferguson.

Kyogo Furuhashi - on final striker shortlist

So did Henrik Larsen and Kenny Dalglish.

    Ilkay Gundogan - Done Deal

He doesn't sub particularly early usually because his plan 'A' seems satisfactory, if you look at his record he has actually managed to win a few matches. He uses subs quite a lot when he considers a game won to rest players and if his plan is not working he is happy to substitute players.
