The Album Review Club - Week #146 - (page 1935) - Ocean Rain - Echo and the Bunnymen

Yeah, didn’t imagine you being a fan; I mean you’d moved onto Tubeway Army, who I also like.

You won't be offended my my comments on this one, other than surprise at you nominating this. I never had the vinyl version but had the cd for a good few years and played it quite a bit. 8/10, probably but I will have a listen before giving a final score.

The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 Champion Is Hilts!

I haven’t a clue which is their best album. I’ve ranted the story before that I was criminally late to the SD fan club and bought their cd box set when it came out. They “crammed” all the albums onto four cds so I never paid much attention to which track was on which album. The whole thing is...

Blue Moon Playlist Review Club - Season 2 - Episode 27 - Out on blue 6 - Gone Too Soon (pg 438)

Yeah, but I still wish he’d bring his Van Hagar tribute tour to the UK. Love that Priest cover.

Brentford (H) - PL | Post Match Thread

Well, maybe playing us suits them, but it’s usually a tough game and closer than one would hope given the gap in quality. So I still suspect an element of game raising but I don’t watch them regularly so there’s some speculation in there.

With so much rotation, it’s more than possible for the captain and vice-captain not to be on the field so having a preordained order keeps things simple. I think having a leadership group of players has a number of benefits. The great hing though is that City have so many players that could...

The club should always have a long list. Short lists are only relevant when you know the manager is going so hopefully we won’t need one for years yet. Frank might be a contender for the long list but if Txiki was compiling a short list today, I don’t think he’d be on it but these things change.

Brentford as whole seem to raise their game against us.

As is often the case in games like this, people get a bit carried away about how good the opponent was. I was impressed by Brentford, up to a point. They are almost always a tricksy opponent for us but to Thomas Frank’s credit he seems to have changed and improved how they play, although I got...

I made a point that City were up for it, which is not necessarily liked to how well they played: it’s about attitude and application / effort. You can be up for it but not perform at your best.

    2 | Kyle Walker - 2024/25

Agreed. He still has something to offer City and he deserves more respect from supporters for what he has contributed to the team. He has been a very important player for us. We can all see a changing of the guard coming but let it take as long as Pep thinks it should. And get fully behaving...
