What a preseason he has had. Clever boy.

And that is the key thing, the state of both their voices.

    Oasis reunion

As I said in another post, the Gallaghers aren’t doing this for brotherly love, they aren’t doing it for the fans, they are doing it for themselves and not least because they can make so much money from it. The fact is that they have created the huge demand and are set to reap the rewards. I...

Ticketmaster as taking the piss a bit because they offer the dynamic pricing service in the first place to their clients. No idea though whether the band had anything to do with it or it was down to the promoters.

    Oasis reunion

They’d better not be over the hill, the better make these gigs really good ones. And there’s no reason why they shouldn’t. I’ve seen older artists who are much older in recent years deliver fabulous performances (Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen). I didn’t go to Liam’s recent gigs but he...

    Oasis reunion

I’ve had that experience as few times in the past and my wife was complaining last night about it as she tried. Literally my daughter was viewing a seating section having chased a ticket or pair of tickets unsuccessfully and a single seat changed colour back to being available so she pounced...

    Oasis reunion

I was on the Ticketmaster and Gigsandtours sites not long after 8am but ended up in the TM queue with 167,000 ahead of me. By the time one of my daughters, who was in a different location, exited the waiting room, the Q was 199K. By the time 13:30 came round, I only had 99k ahead of me and...

    West Ham United (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

I do like going to West Ham. Superb first half, og aside. Game should have been over well before West Ham’s 2nd half resurgence but too many good chances were squandered for the umpteenth time in Pep’s reign, not his fault and certainly not Erling Haaland’s. Pep made good substitutions and...

Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

Yes that is a good BOC album, a genuine return to form. Mind you, I a somewhat biased when it comes to BOC.

The Album Review Club - Week #146 - (page 1935) - Ocean Rain - Echo and the Bunnymen

This is basically my review from last time we reviewed this album. Maybe a bit harsh given that I did buy the album but I do still think it is massively overrated so I am unrepentant. I thought the beginging of the album was awful. I thought they butchered “Psycho Killer”. Byrne’s vocal is...

Sven Goran Eriksson | Passes away from cancer aged 76 (p 32)

Yes, what a day that was at Upton Park. I trust there will be a minutes silence or applause for us to show our respect at West Ham on Saturday as Sven was an England manager; and again at our next home game.

Sven Goran Eriksson | Passes away from cancer aged 76 (p 32)

Yes it would have been a different City. I think we would have won the league sooner: Sven would have made a better job of using Mansour’s money than Hughes did but it worked out fine in the end for City. Sven’s sacking will though forever be inexcusable.

Sven Goran Eriksson | Passes away from cancer aged 76 (p 32)

R.I.P. Sven. Your season in charge at City was very enjoyable and it is a shame that City did not buy you Modric for Xmas (Jan transfer window): the squad was a bit short and ran out of steam. Your sacking was a disgrace. Heard from one of the player that he had never seen a manger be so...

    Oasis reunion

Never been to Heaton Park for a gig, although I was born a couple of miles from there, and don’t fancy it. Besides which we live about 40 miles from Wembley, so will try for tickets there.
