Match Thread | Man City vs. Luton (13/04/24)

This team blows my mind. Luton haven’t left their own half. The game is over and yet again we gift a fucking big chance.

    Finally. Great finish.

    We CAN miss chances.

    Nunes is woeful.

They might have everyone back but theres plenty of space. They don’t look remotely solid at the back despite the numbers. It’s 1-0 because of our poor finishing, not the quality of their defending.

Match Thread | Man City vs. Luton (13/04/24)

This is what annoys the life out of me. This is like a Carabao Cup early round performance where the 2nd string come in and rather than trying to put down a marker, it’s half-arsed. We’ve see this type of performance far too many times over the years.

It’s total domination but so frustrating. Luton are the easiest team we will play against. Not because they’re the worst team in the league but because they let us play like no other. KDB could have had 5 assists in the opening 30 mins. Our finishing is fucking abysmal. Nunes, Doku, Alvarez...

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2023/24

I think that’s a stretch TBH. No CB should have it that easy 1v1 against him. He’s better than that.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

I’m not arguing because I think for the most part we are aligned on how valuable he is to the team. I just don’t see G/A as a bonus from a wide forward, they should be a given in this team and it’s not like he doesn’t have it in him.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

Yeah, this is it in a nutshell. We put him alongside Rodri, we expect solidity. We didn’t get it at all. Tonight, Kovacic looked like a £30m squad player. A CL QF away at Real looked a step too far for him.

Nobody hates him. He just has to do more in these big games.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

We all know we are a better side with Jack in it. That doesn’t there’s no merit in my 2nd point. He’s playing wide forward in the best side in the world. It’s arguably harder not to score and assist in this side, than it is. He has literally said himself since he’s been here that he doesn’t...

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2023/24

Most weeks I agree with this statement. Tonight, Real were happy to leave Rudiger on him 1v1 multiple times and from what I can remember, apart from one foul in the 2nd half, Rudiger bullied him. That’s not good enough. We can’t defend Haaland every game unconditionally. I love the bloke but...

    3 | Ruben Dias - 2023/24

He sees far too much of the ball. So ponderous in possession it’s unreal.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

I think you can look at his performance two ways. 1. He was the only one of our front three that gave us any control. Haaland was anonymous and Bernie just kept giving the ball away. Jack was excellent at getting us up the pitch and gave us a solidity that the other two sadly didn’t. 2. He...

    18 | Stefan Ortega - 2023/24

I don’t think he needs to commit as much as he did on the 2nd. Theres two defenders v one attacker…let them deal with it. IMO, what tonight shows is that being the City keeper isn’t an easy job. We don’t concede many chances but the ones we do concede are invariably big ones. Ederson is a...

    16 | Rodri - 2023/24

He looks fucked and we have seen this before that at this point of the season. Our poor recruitment in the middle of the park, is leaving this guy with a ridiculous workload. We had an unbelievable run when purchasing midfielders but recently the buys have been turd.

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2023/24

Great goal and was the only defender that looked like he knew what defending was.

What a soft **** he is. Dive, moan, dive, moan. It’s amazing what some time on the continent can do.

Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Good result. Thought we were really bad in the 1st half. Excellent in the 2nd. I said just before the Gvardiol goal that Real were dead on their feet and it was there for the taking. I think we let them off the hook at 2-3. That being said, you can’t ask for much more than getting a draw at...
