Brentford PL (A) | Man of the Match

Obviously Phil Foden+ It's about time Phil Foden had a song, may I suggest: When we first met, I could hardly believe The things that would happen, and you could achieve So let's be together for all of the time And thank my good fortune that you are still mine Philip Foden, makes me...

I totally agree. It's an obvious step.

    North Stand Construction Discussion

Why would this be the case? There's no reason why you couldn't build an additional structure with seats and roof behind the current roof, in one corner, then during the closed season remove the existing relevant section of roof. Itc would take a significant amount of emgineering, but that's...

I'm not disputing what you say, but where would you get accurate figures from?

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Well I was there outside the Maine Stand after Peter Reid got sacked before the Coventry match, and I'm sure that was the start of the end of him! You're right though we were treated like Sh!t then, and are treated much better now.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

As far as I am aware all players and managers contracts expire on 30 June, and it is the formal end of the season from a financial perspective, and has been for years. I think clubs have to make all outstanding transfer fee payments etc before that date as well.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I'll only upset you if I challenge any of your points. Money talks, and that's all. That will control the power struggle in football. The top football clubs are brands now, owned by profiteers to be marketed for their own interests. The traditional fan/supporter really doesn't matter.

According to this we were 2nd that year with 24,955?

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I'm not sure you can make that statement without knowing what their actual intentions are. One World Cup isn't enough and the top 3 Saudi clubs all averaged over 30,000 last season. The Saudis have disrupted golf, and have grabbed all the major boxing events. They're a major player in both...

    North Stand Construction Discussion

I remember Franny Lee stating after he'd rebuilt the 15,000 seater Kippax, he would replace the North Stand and Platt Lane in the same way and fill in the corners to take the capacity to 60,000. There were loads of people whinging then that we'd never fill it. The same arguments were made when...

Lowest league attendance at Maine Road

According to the European Football Database http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attn.htm You are right the lowest league attendance at Maine Rd was 8,015. I also remember articles in the programme about it after we played Leeds in front of 4,023 in the Full Members Cup in 1985/86. Why...

Two minors suspended by club for offensive chanting at Brighton game | 17 year old charged by GMP (p29)

So does that cover Utd fans singing these lines in their chants about us? - Why don't City f### off home - Build a bonfire, put the City in the middle and burn the f###ing lot - You're gonna die, cut them down from head to toe etc - We kill any bastards That get in our way; - Burn, destroy...

Two minors suspended by club for offensive chanting at Brighton game | 17 year old charged by GMP (p29)

Everything about that incident is bewildering when you think about it. What is the point of CCTV and all seater stadium if it can't identify the seat where that pint pot was thrown from? This is precisely why all seater stadiums were introduced, and still persist today, to ensurec the police...

Yes the Newcastle fans just sing the chorus, and I thought it sounded pretty good, but we're all different.

I loved the Newcastle chant last night, "Is this the way to Barcelona" and found it on YouTube by Junior Turner: Anyhow, I decided to write my own words, If I get round to recording it I'll let you know, but I think I've nailed the chorus: Sha la la la la la Ci ty! Sha la la la la la...
