Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

That's a really good point. Me and mine have been saying for the last few years that we've got a ton of 7s, but not many 8, 9-10s (out of ten, that is).

Agree. I think top 4 has to be our goal next season. We aren't going from where we are right now to challengers, imo.

Agree. We love him for his time as a player at Chelsea, and tbf to him he did a good job bringing through the youth in his first managerial stint. But as a manager I'm extremely skeptical he has what it takes.

I think you might have a point re what's going on right now. But lucky in Porto?! Not for me.

I think you make fair and reasonable points. It's pretty much as bad as I can ever remember, to be honest. Has a been a rough season. I think there is plenty of talent in the squad, but that's going to be hard to see at this moment.

We are in shit state right now, so most criticism of the current situation is fair, notwithstanding the mercenaries comment above is going way too far. However, we've built a few very good teams over the last twenty years, including one that outplayed your team consecutively over a number of...

Hopefully he could take up that role at City, as we don't want him anywhere near team decisions at Chelsea.

Watch just a few minutes of the highlights and judge for yourself! We had one of the home ends. The other three sides of the stadium were red.

Lmfao. If you can't take it, don't give it in the first place. It's not as if I insulted you or called you childish names (eg. bellend). Jeez, what a wuss. I don't play cards. I interact. If people are cool then I'm cool. If not, then I think i have the right of reply within the bounds of...

'condescending' says the guy who started his first post with 'Lmfao'. If you don't realise the significance of playing a major final at the ground of your opponent (not sure it's happened before or since) then maybe you're missing something my friend. Very recently City managed to snatch a...

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

Yes we did. Are you struggling to understand the significance of playing a Champions League final against one of Europe's consistently strongest teams at their own ground?

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

I am genuinely looking forward to the game at the weekend! Why? As far as I'm concerned we've effectively been in pre-season for the last few weeks at least. We have nothing to play for and might as well try a few things. I hope Frank gets that. This weekend sees us playing the best team in...

Criticising Chelsea is super easy to do right now. And on a City forum, of all places, the resident fans can only laugh at us in comparison to their club's model, which has been pretty awesome to be fair. However, I don't think things are quite as bad as some of you guys are saying. We have...

If we are in touching distance of City next season I'd take that right now. For me a top 4 finish would be our best case scenario, realistically.

Ah! Got you. I don't remember that soundbite, so props to you for that recall. Yeah, it does seem to make Poch a bit of a hypocrite. A bit embarrassing really. I'm certainly not over the moon with the appointment. For me it's just about progress, baring in mind that we are a shambles at this...
