Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

I agree, and appreciate the voice of reason. I certainly did not wish to be discussing at such length what is obviously a touchy subject for many here. Thank you sir.

At no point have I claimed the moral high ground! We did our time. It was 2 window btw, not 2 year.

Fair enough. It's a valid point. Respect.

Haha. Are you available to come and give the pre-match team talk?

You actually don't need us or anyone else to do you a favour imho. And just as well, as relying on my team at this moment is an act of desperation.

Seems to me that anyone who isn't an unwavering City advocate is a muppet to you!

Haha. Yeah, Google can be a great reference tool, depending on where you land. What's your take on this piece: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/manchester-city-uefa-premier-league-b2286925.html

So, enlighten me, if my understanding of the events in question are so inaccurate. Where do I go to read impartial information for the sale of being better informed?

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

I am only commenting because I keep getting called out! I post here on the Chelsea page about Chelsea stuff. It seems that if make even the tiniest reference to City that is anything less than deferential it's an invitation for some here to pile in. Jeez. And where have I said I have no...

Just to be clear, my only point was in response to a poster here who said that City's model would work at any club regardless of investment, which I think is nonsense.

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

Haha. No. As a football fan I've read quite a bit about it. I'm not an expert though by any stretch. What I would say is that it's highly likely I don't know as much about it as some City fans.

For the sake of clarity (and hopefully friendliness too) I'd also point out that I don't think Manchester City have likely done anything that a ton of other clubs have done also - probably every top club out there. It's business. And sometimes business has to cut a few corners here and there...

Jeez, relax mate. I've read a little, but would certainly not claim to be an expert on City's struggles with UEFA, or indeed the unresolved ones with the FA. There's always two sides of course, but I think it's a bit of a stretch to suggest the whole thing was just a case of UEFA or the FA...

Chelsea Thread - 2022/23 | Pochettino confirmed as new manager

Where have I laughed at City being perfectly run?? Show me please. Aside from anything else its a ridiculous notion to laugh at 'perfection'. And I haven't suggested you've done something wrong financially. That was UEFA and is the FA who suggest that. Sorry if that offends you but that's the...

Yeah okay, but nothing that's happened at City since 2008 is regardless of investment, any more than it has been at Chelsea since 2003.
