Yep. All players are professionals and have the right to do as they see fit re: their career. As long as they give their all whilst under contract, fans should have little reason for grievances.
Jimmy was a top pro at City and played a part in some big successes. I wished and still wish him...
Pep being offered a 5 year deal.
*Everyone* needs to come to town tonight to make sure he knows he's appreciated (above and beyond the 20 million notes a year).
Not sure we're whiter than white on Munich chants...
Re: this one - 1. the chant itself is pretty vague - hard to say it's especially offensive
2. No players join on until the Sterling bit. Most foreign players probably have no idea what opening lines are either.
So? Ignore the media, enjoy...
Too many names in here who are at least bang average.
Only names on list should be those who disgraced themselves 96-98, and didn't redeem themselves in 99. Beesley, Van Blerk, Darren Wassall, etc.
Oh, and Simon Tracey.
I couldn't give a toss what anyone else says. Table, trophies and sheer enjoyment of watching us play is all that matters.
And for the record, the guy who threw a beer at Neville is a grade A weapon.
Yep. I was only 13 for Spurs but it crushed me. As did Palace in LC in 95. Both times I really felt we'd win the cup.
Most upsetting/depressing was the Blackburn one. With fans fighting each other and the woeful performance, it is frightening to think where we'd be now without Thaksin+SM.
Ha! I thought it was Sheff Wed they tipped in 92/93...weirdly seem to remember the quote 'Tricky Trev's men to go all the way to the title' next to a projected table!
Yeah, it was the not even getting a sniff that was unbelievable and frustrating. At least Newcastle etc reached a few finals, 2nd/3rd places, etc. I was 1 in 1981 and I was 30 before we even got to one match away from a Wembley final.
