    Rodri - Players Tribune Article

There were certainly one or two around me! Though nowhere close the levels of Javi Garcia and Fernando. Great piece from Rodri (and editing friend).

    Pep Guardiola

I don't think he's saying dont attempt to do that. Of course City will try to. Just that this has been an unbelievable period, possibly unmatchable, and just because we dominated under one manager doesn't mean we have a divine right to do it for all time.

All time City away kit winner - 09/10 sash!

I would go back to Umbro in a heartbeat. Obviously no chance of this happening, but the kits from that period were, as you say, almost all bangers. Only slightly duff one was 2012-13 home kit, IMO. A bit meh.

    Happy 90th Birthday Skip

Decent articles on the OS to be fair. I'm not asking for another (!) statue...but think there should be more of a formal recognition of Book at the ground considering his achievements across his multitude of roles at the club. Not to mention his class and dignity too. He is without compare...

Dare I open this can of worms?!

Niall Quinn - Goal and Penalty Save 1991

Ha! I was down at the front by the railings and was max 5 ft at the time...but yeah, clear as day!

Niall Quinn - Goal and Penalty Save 1991

Loved both of those games as a kid on the Kippax. When I see the White goals v Scousers they still give me goosebumps. Pretty sure we relegated 2 teams at home at the end of that 91/92 season as well; Notts County and West Ham.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

We have a squad of players. Each player picked by Pep. Some players are naturally better or will be more consistent than others. But all of them have qualities which can help us...sometimes uniquely. None of them want to play badly, or below par. The best things supporters can do is, rather...

What was the most toxic period at City?

Bob on. Wavelength is the right word. The Summerbee, Rosler, Kinkladze triumvirate seemed to be working. Horlock playing nicely too after signing. Remember great performance at Oxford and a few others. Didn't last!

What was the most toxic period at City?

All about opinions! Not defending Summerbee per se...just that I think he was often the first and easiest target. There's always a player first in the firing line. Doku, Sterling, Heath, Edghill, Morley, etc. For a variety of reasons, but once their status has been established they usually get...

What was the most toxic period at City?

He was a grade A shithouse. But irrespective of that it was never gonna work at City based on his dad's status at the club.

    Other fans perceptions of us

I always disliked Spurs, even as a kid. Also, they should never be able to talk about '115' after they were docked 12 pts and banned from the cup for dodgy payments, which they admitted...

What was the most toxic period at City?

Disagree on Clough. Was a skilful and subtle player who was a bad fit at that time. Summerbee was on a hiding to nothing at City and should have steered clear.

    Old City Videos

I've got all the season reviews and still watch them occasionally (I got the VHS ones copied onto DVDs). Really annoys me how they don't do them any more....how hard could it be to put them together? Even just as a stream/download? And I don't mean these Netflix style ones with a 'narrative'...

What was the most toxic period at City?

    Or entirely sane?!

What was the most toxic period at City?

Yeah. The worst end I was at for infighting was the Blackburn one that has been frequently mentioned. But the whole end of Swales era was awful. Death threats to Swales, protests before and after games. I remember playing Wimbledon at home towards the emd of the season and losing one nil...the...

Sven Goran Eriksson | Passes away from cancer aged 76 (p 32)

First double in PL era. Sorry to be a pedant but my dad wouldn't allow that to pass - he used to bore the arse off me about beating them 6 out of 7 years at OT in late 60s and early 70s.

Sven Goran Eriksson | Passes away from cancer aged 76 (p 32)

Brought the fun back to City after the boredom/despair of Pearce years. And a class act too. Sorry we couldn't save his job on the march, but hope he knew how much affection he was held in by all Blues.
