I think what sensible folks were hoping for, was that we could maybe get FDJ at same price as Rice, and is a much, much better footballer.

Well his replacement was never going to be FDJ. They’re different players entirely. Rodri and Rice are the ones to cross reference with. FDJ is world class at what he does but that isn’t as an attacking midfielder, a centre forward or a goalkeeper……
