    I'm devastated for him.

I don't think it's that. I think the noise around the club has quietened after a decent, okay-ish start to the season. We were getting pelters from all corners the year before last when we finished 12th. United finished 3rd that year.

Maybe but quite clearly the media, rival fans and Chelsea fans won't expect the same results from Madueke, Jackson, Lavia, Colwill, Gusto etc as they would from players like Mbappe, Haaland, Leao, Rice, Marquinhos. It's natural to not expect the first group of players to fire Chelsea to the...

They're below us in the league after 10 games. That deserves to be laughed at :)

The standards have been lowered for Chelsea, partly because of how rubbish we've been since 2022, and partly because the clear strategy, rightly or wrongly, have been to buy youth, youth and more youth. After the first window in which Boehly himself was doing the transfers, the only key players...

Don’t know what the stats say but I suppose it doesn’t factor in the context, for example Sanchez was completely stitched up by Fofana in the penalty we conceded vs Bournemouth. There was nothing he could do, I think he even tried to get out of the way. He was a bit rash yesterday but I still...

    Cole Palmer

He explained that vs Newcastle he anticipated Joelinton would follow him around and hack him to pieces, so he moved him slightly to the left of midfield and it worked, both our goals came from Palmer operating down the inside left channel. Not sure what his role vs United but whatever it was...

As I said, new coach, young squad, disjointed performances will happen. There’s not a single team that haven’t had several disjointed performances, including City, so not sure what pointing out transfer fees adds to the discussion.

I don’t see the point listing transfer fees. There’ll always be inconsistencies from game to game, especially when the plan has clearly been to target young inexperienced players who can hopefully grow together as a team. Judging them on one game as you have here seems unhelpful.

We were crap yesterday. We’re still a work in progress though, with the new manager and a very young squad who are bound to show inconsistencies. With City, Arsenal and Villa losing, it was a good chance to gain points on them but sadly not to be.

I feel bad for Madueke but at the same time Palmer is the hot topic at the moment, but yeah it feels very disrespectful to make the lad spend the entire presser answering questions about Palmer when it’s such a huge achievement for himself in his own life to be called up to the seniors.

    Cole Palmer

Lots of City fans have said Palmer wouldn’t ever get the freedom to play the way plays at Chelsea. If that’s true, then you’re right, we may never have seen the Palmer we see now had he stayed. I’ve said from the beginning that this is a deal that worked out for everyone.

He also played most of last season at as our RW, albeit with the freedom and license to roam and and seek out the action on the pitch. He’s even better centrally but he’s a pretty elite RW, as he showed last season.

    Cole Palmer

It’s sadly unavailable, as there will always be some City fans who feel it was a mistake selling him. It took years for Chelsea fans to shut up about what a big mistake it was letting KDB go for peanuts. Those early years at City, it was pretty much a weekly referendum on how Mourinho set us...

All good, talented players with plenty of room still to improve. Obviously not everyone can ascend to the top like Palmer, but you said ‘eventually you’ll get one right’ as if he’s the only good signing we’ve made.

    Caicedo. Jackson. Gusto. Cucurella.

We’ve got several right in this team right now. Palmer is just the pick of the bunch.

Oh man. Love this lad so much. What a player. What a signing. I’m on cloud 9.

When Is The Club Going To Stop Selling Tickets In The Home End To Away Fans?

I've sat in the home at the Etihad quite a few times over the years. It's pretty easy to not draw attention to yourself and wear neutral colours. I'm sure there are easy telltale signs if someone watched me closely, like I can keep calm if Chelsea score, that's OK but I'm stood still looking...

I haven't seen that story about a new striker, but it wouldn't surprise me given that we chased Osimhen so hard in the summer window. Yeah that kid is only 15. I've seen some clips going around with that stat you mention. Not much to say other than, although I watched youth football at times...
