Agreed 100%. These lot and the people who cycle out at night with no lights on at all. 9/10 if they have Lycra and a go pro on, they act and cycle like a total twat.

Maybe undertaking him at 30mph on a roundabout wound him up a bit? Just a guess though. Wish you a speedy recovery nonetheless

This was my point as well - came over a bit entitled or "my cycling is too good for cycle paths". Standard attitude that gives cyclists a bad name really. Would be safer though - as demonstrated

Fair point, I've never used them since my commute is far too long to cycle (for me anyway), however if I was cycling I'd be taking the cycle paths that are away from the roads where available, much safer. It's impatience that leads to cycling on the roads by all the arguments presented here -...

Did this section where you were hit have a cycle road/pathway as an alternative? I guess all I'm saying is that there's plenty of times where a bike lane is available away/separated from the road and people choose to take the risk of using the road anyway. In your case it seems the driver...

What are your 'needs' that mean you can't ride on a cycle path?

These are obviously extreme examples. Round where I live, there's many a cycle path that are not on the road, as in they run parallel with the road but are separated by a pavement or grass embankment etc, yet cyclists opt to drive in the road instead which is a far riskier approach. I said "IF"...

Is there anything more annoying than a Cyclist ignoring a designated and much safer cycle path and opting for the road. Obviously your injuries sound awful and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but if you were on the road when there was a cycle path option on the same route then sympathy is...

In the interests of pedantry, it's "hoist" not hung - ;-) It also says it under-performed and didn't sell very well hence, at the time of release, being underrated.
