it’s not Portugal’s rules you need to worry about. they have an agreement with the EU. You will need to isolate for 10 days on return to the UK and take a paid for PCR test in day 2 and 8.

here’s an option for you Weds - stansted to porto 15.50 arrives 18.10 sun evening - Lisbon to stansted 19.45 arr 22.25 porto to Lisbon train is €15 and takes 3 hours. still there £156 return.
