Elon Musk buys and ruins Twitter

I use it but only on the following tab, the “for you” bit has been completely ruined. I only follow music and sports accounts though. Think it’s ruined if anyone uses it for news or politics.

    F1 2024 season

Welsh anthem is up there too, not in terms of euphoria, but the emotion in it when the whole stadiums singing it always gets me. Not applicable to F1 admittedly!

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Not necessarily a bad thing for us he’s come out and said that though. Prime example of how we can defend the non co-operation charges when you’ve got a rival chairman openly talking about what’s supposed to be a completely confidential hearing and judgment….

    Vat on Independent school fees?

And I highly doubt any attempt will succeed for the reasons he states in that thread.

There’s a pretty big fundamental difference to be fair in that Germany is only looking at doing the processing there - it’s the keeping them there after processing that was the main issue.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Ultimately, there’s not really a story there to tell yet as the end result if we are cleared is pretty much sod all will happen.

    Joke thread

Nah sod that, if they’re happy being called it then no need to change it. It’d only be people that knew them that could take offence at it anyway.

    New Music - 2024

I saw English Teacher last Sunday at EOTR, they were very good. Last dinner party were there last year, liked them but not as much as English Teacher.

    The Labour Government

Like I said earlier, it’s all about context for me. The idea that it’s always done from a demeaning viewpoint i’d completely disagree with, in fact most times I’ve used it have been from the position of either support or protection.

    The Labour Government

I completely agree with your first paragraph, there’s nothing I said that is contrary to having that as a sentiment. The point I was making was around the disparity in salary between the different grades in the organisation not being reflective of the value to the organisation that those roles...

    The Labour Government

I can guarantee they don’t, although they’d all agree with the sentiment no one is indispensable. I’d have thought that’s a given for anyone that’s worked for a company for even a small amount of time. All of this still has sod all to do with my initial point though so it’s a rabbit hole I’m...

    The Labour Government

Yes, that’ll be it, I don’t even know my own perception, you’re absolutely right… Ffs. If that was my true perception then I wouldn’t be making the entire point I was in that first post, would I?

    The Labour Government

Well that’s more on you and how you chose to read it to be fair. I was making the point of the different levels between those on a grade higher than me, myself and then those on a grade lower. I said they “worked for me” in the context of I feel personally responsible for them and them feeling...

    Oasis reunion

    Oasis reunion

Completely agree. Most people I saw there weren’t really there for the band themselves as such was my point. Half of them were either passed out or tripping off their tits by the time they came on for a start!

    The Labour Government

I’m pretty high up in the org I’m in now and it’s actually made me more angry over time despite me earning more myself! The amount both in pension contributions and additional bonus payments the upper levels get is ridiculous, it’s no wonder the disparity of wealth is growing so much. It’s just...

    Oasis reunion

I hope everyone that has paid over the odds enjoys it as it’s such a big outlay. Friend at work got four tickets for him and some family members, paid £1600 for it. That’d be a family holiday not happening for me, which I couldn’t justify for one gig. I’d be a bit worried that whenever I saw...

    The Labour Government

I get why people would do it, it’s wealth creating wealth for people not just in the proper upper echelons. The problem though is underlying it is people feel they need to do it for reasons like you say - to prop up their pension. If we had companies paying people what they should be and also...
