Yes and he played 50 games both seasons. Can you name me a season he's scored more than a goal a game? So no, 22 year old Kane is not close to Haaland based on the stats as well as the eye test. As a footnote, that "average" Spurs side you mention finished 3rd.
I'm sure Kane would score plenty...
This is also an excellent point. Spurs entire approach is built around creating chances for Kane. People saying he's overperformed in an underperforming team but he is part of that team and has been for a decade. You can't separate the two like it's nothing to do with him.
1/ every game is 90...
"Farcical"?! He has the same number of assists in the league this season already, and there's the small matter of one he got in the CL Semi Final vs Bayern Munich. Kane only started adding that aspect to his game in his late 20s.
Kane right now would be capable of matching him for City, yes...
Haaland is more raw and Kane can do some things that Haaland can't do *yet*.
For me the difference is that Haaland is starting to show he's going to be capable of doing anything Kane can (already got the same number of assists as him this season), but is also capable of doing things that Kane...
A few weeks ago it was all about how we had to win 8/9/10 games to win a treble, get past the mighty Bayern and Real, overcome the gap to Arsenal, it was very unlikely all the pundits said.
Well now it's 2, and our first team has had more rest and preparation time in the last 2 weeks than the...
Inter because it's unfamiliar I think, and they've got Lukaku and Dzeko as target men, reminiscent of Toney and Mbuemo to me and we struggled with them earlier this season.
Tbh though this team just seem to be immensely focused and don't seem to have a drop of complacency. If they play to their...
Not really bothered by the initial invasion, it's all in good spirit, but those who dragged it out were taking the piss a bit. Like, have your fun but remember it's not all about you, get in and get out like the majority who do it for a laugh.
I hear you but bear in mind they had Europa League this season and their core players are very young considering how well they're doing so getting stronger every season, which should balance that out quite a bit.
I don't disagree a lot cos CL is obviously a step up, but I do think they'll be...
Interesting.
To clarify my point on CL, it wasn't about unlocking budget but about the increased attraction to top quality players. Previously the top clubs in the CL were a better option because of that.
Zinchenko and Jesus had the Arteta connection.
Odegaard, who I think is your best...
I think Forest will beat Arsenal for some reason. They'll be well up for it and Arsenal will be deflated. There's basically only pride to play for for them whereas Forest are fighting for their lives.
Agree with this. There's no buyer and where would he want to go?
I don't think people are realising that Arsenal getting back into CL is a game changer. Honestly, I think it's an era shift for English football and the next few years will be City/Arsenal toe to toe. I only see Liverpool being...
Surprised you think that. They're on to finish on 85 points and they're going to strengthen. They're not like City where it's almost impossible to strengthen: a class right back and a class DM is a transformation for them. Rice and Cancelo turn them into a big threat imo.
This is partly the reason why I think we've moved more to become a more physically dominant side this season. Games at this stage will always have a section that is toe to toe attacks and it creates chaos and randomness, that should help us in those moments.
