    Message from a Sunderland fan

I have a soft spot for Sunderland. " Where's your trophy gone" sang in 2012. Brilliant!

Exactly. If a barman was repeatedly asked for a pint and kept serving a glass of wine, he would get given the sack, not a cup final.

VAR has confirmed what many have suspected for a long time. All the technology is available to get the correct decisions. The old excuse of " human error " is no longer valid. Then it's all excused by the commentary.

Decisions make a world of difference.

    VAR - 2020/21

Just like the previous week against Brighton with the penalty that was " missed". Then a spokesperson person tried to justify it by saying it wasn't "clear and obvious". Yet against Wolves last season the referee disallowed the goal for LiVARpool for handball that got overuled by VAR because it...

    VAR - 2020/21

The "mentality monsters" that would have won the league with one dubious decision after another but for City's superb run the previous season. Then VAR was brought in and people including myself thought it would lead to fairer results. VAR exposed how unfair the game is. One of the favoured...

    VAR - 2020/21

It usually awakens when there is a chance to penalise City but slumbers when City might benefit. City didn't play well against Leeds but critical decisions helped turn a win into a loss. Some people wonder how favoured teams cope when not playing well. In a similar game the decisions would have...

    VAR - 2020/21

Just in the games between Brighton and Trafford, City and Leeds there was a six point swing in a week based on refereeing decisions. The possible sending off with the penalty for Brighton completely ignored, then penalties for City ignored against Leeds and the offside goal given Exactly...

    VAR - 2020/21

It's already transparent what's going on. VAR has been good in this way because there are no excuses such as " human error " when the correct decisions could be achieved.

    VAR - 2020/21

The "right" decisions being those that are good for the " brand ". When City have all the money it's a sport. Trafford doing badly isn't good for the "brand" or business. It's interesting that the terminology is as flexible as the rules and decisions.

    VAR - 2020/21

I read that in England the rugby authorities offered to help with it's implementation but the offer was declined? It would have helped with transparency and helped the officials make fair and correct decisions. It's almost as if the poor implementation has been deliberate?

    VAR - 2020/21

I read comments from people that are still "baffled" by decisions, despite the same teams being favoured every week and City being stiched up at almost every opportunity. Some people claim to be "baffled" by the constant unfair decisions against City, despite it happening practically every...

    Corruption in English football?

Just like with City against Spurs with the handball in the Champions League. The camera angle showing conclusively the handball was mysteriously unavailable?

    Leicester (A) Post Match Thread

I remember one time the opposition goalkeeper wasting time. The referee walked up to the goalkeeper and rather than giving a yellow card, had a word, helping to waste more time.

Fluked it twice in the best part of three decades. Bayern player just had to bring the ball down and run it up the pitch, rather than slicing it back in to the box. Then a slip from the Chelsea player taking the penalty and putting it wide when the goalkeeper dived the wrong way.

It took some nerve for him to step up for the penalty against Gillingham. I was so happy he scored.

Thank you. I will give that some consideration. I remember mcivta fondly because living abroad it was one way of keeping updated about City.
