PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I seem to remember that the former Chelsea owner Mr Abr. used legal stuff at the slightest hint of any media threat. Our owners have taken a different route by concentrating just on making money. However perhaps they choose now to warn people enough is enough or advise all they have a dossier.

    Lifestyle & retirement

I've had a fairly conventional life up to now and never really thought about early retirement. Whatever one's decision it is important to plan for what you want to do with the many hours of freedom that retirement gives. If it is just to have the pleasure of not going to work then it will not...

    State Pension Increases

Agreed. apart from the occasional overnight raid on Pension Funds by the Gov of the day. Got to assume that if receiving a state pension NI not being extracted.

    State Pension Increases

As far as I know the UK state pension has never been tax free but has been paid gross. The idea I think is that it will take up most of one's tax allowances (tax code), any additional state or private pension then only has the remainder of allowances tax free and you pay tax as if you are still...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Politicians double talk deliberately to get the maximum amount of votes whereas the media are not interested in the news just what biased version of it will get most clicks.

    State Pension Increases

The Gov however managed to claw back some money by the way their policies killed off many of our pensioners. They were supposed to be protected as part of our most vulnerable citizens.

Thanks for that post may I add to your Spanish comparison by looking at their tax system which I contribute to. Spain is split into autonomous regions so income tax is paid roughly 50 percent to the State and 50 percent to each Autonomous Region. I know Healthcare is paid and run via Region...

    State Pension Increases

Re your last para: Part of my NI payments were made when I was earning more and therefore paid more into the scheme. Should I expect to receive more in State Pension weekly rate than say someone paying in less? I note that one can request a Pension Forecast but unless it takes into...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

One of my favourite accountant jokes is how to choose an accountant. Ask the question what does 2 plus 2 make. Employ the one who says What do you want it to make?

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I suppose it's not what you do it's the way that you do it. The facade of various fairness rules giving apparently fair treatment for all clubs yet applied only when it suits the controlling clubs. I think City are actually challenging this version of fairness by accepting a Panel composed of...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You are correct. Many more Ars and Pool fans than City fans. They lose clicks when City win and go top so any port in a storm if you want clicks. They are in the business of clicks and not even news or even fairness will change this business plan.

    State Pension Increases

Agreed. For example in Spain the tax people do not want a return if ones pension is less than about 23000 euros PA. dependant on it being the only pension one receives.

    State Pension Increases

Not really, just trying to understand why my basic math's worked last year at 10.1 percent increase for it all whereas this year with the same mix of pensions the 8.5 percent is not working. Something has changed so I am trying to understand it.

    State Pension Increases

Thanks for that observation. My problem is that my Pension Increase letter simply gave me figure it increased to each week. I know how much I get now so a calculation showed it was not 8.5 percent. I spoke to Pensions and their call centre agreed and said they would contact me within 4 weeks...

    State Pension Increases

You would expect that like any private scheme. For some it allows them to concentrate on the benefits system with their stamp paid whilst hunting for a job. All that haste though having to go to a Job Centre every so often. I preferred to work and paid my NI. Now I am retired it is. my objective...

    Bone marrow donation

Perhaps a split egg RE identical twins but otherwise even with same father and mother their are 4 uncertain chances for an identical half / half DNA match. Do you know if the banks keep their individual records secret or is any of them sold once out of date for bone maaow match?

    Bone marrow donation

So the bank is not to check compatability of said bone marrow from a DNA point of view? If so what similar features are needed for a match?

    State Pension Increases

I agree. Tax and death seem to be inevitable. National Insurance is surely a tax that varies according to one's income during a shortened working life. Income tax continues into the rest of one's life. Avoiding paid work seems the only way to avoid paying into the system.

    State Pension Increases

Luckily I took out private pensions to supplement my State pension so to some extent I agree. Perhaps we should also only allow state pensions and benefits to those who contribute like real pensions and insurance schemes? I intend to fight for every penny to get back my state deductions from...
