Tough game. We made it much harder than what was needed. As seems to be the standard lately. Credit to Bournemouth for keep coming at us despite a few rugby challenges.
We really need to up our game next month. And we probably will do so.
Anyways first things first. Luton away in the FA cup.
Interesting line-up with Nunes starting. I think Pep expects more room than hometies vs double deckers.
Should get the 3 points if only by what quality we have on the bench.
Goaldifference can play a huge role.
The Klopp-leaving will stimulate them till the end.
Arsenal will surely hold on longer than last season.
We are simply stubborn and won’t go away.
Akanji.
Stones.
Anyone else.
Hard to shine in a game like this with Brentford out with a double decker tactic to just frustrate. A tactic that is used by more and more teams that visit the Etihad. Awful to watch.
We are great at reacting to what the players feel as a disappointed result. Few changes obviously and Haaland on the scoresheet would do him well.
Anyone think goal difference will be important? I do. Although I don’t automatically expect win. But I could do with the team searching for more...
Too many players below par. Nothing to do with wrong team selection nor players being complacent. Everyone worked their socks off (esp 2nd half) but it wasn’t enough. The scoreline kept the motivation up in the Chelsea camp.
Some dubious decisions not going our way.
Liverpool and Arsenal...
Ake again faultless without being outstanding.
Ederson with two brilliant saves although one due the Chelsea player messing up.
Rodri for having to shake off a terrier-dog and scoring.
Unfortunately too many players below par.
I like to think that whenever Chelsea play like they do vs one of the current top 4 away, we will beat them convincingly.
It’ll be a different game to the one in London. Of that I am certain.
I gave up on the media a long time ago. I now get people saying i was right, after acknowledging the way City are treated by the media. Either the papers or the commentary. It’s been going on for over a decade. And it won’t stop. Fuck them !
We were at it from the start. Only let them in for about 5-10 min after they scored an unexpected equalizer.
Brilliant smooth high tempo teamplay, beautiful to watch. Silenced the stadium. And me every now and than. Yes, still.
Exactly. It would be very unwise to underestimate these. History shows Danish teams and their national team perform great when being the underdogs.
No doubt Pep won’t let that happen.
Ake faultless.
Doku great, but only after 20-25 minutes and he really needs to work on his final pass.
Haaland two great finishes. Showed his true workrate after he rattled the first one in.
I think some on here underestimate how hard it is to play a high tempo vs 10 defenders. It often is all about patience and sometimes a bit of luck.
And Everton put on a very good fight. Yes often defended with 9 or 10. But also some decent football without an end product.
Annoying was the way...
