Can they sign out of contract players at any time? If so - Crouchy's available. Head and shoulders above what they've got - in so many ways

    Shaun Wright-Phillips retires from football

My brother ( a rag in the finance world) got me and my son a corporate at Maine Road some 20 years ago when they were a novelty. We were in the dining room and a few of the fringe players came round to the tables. This tiny kid in a suit four sizes too big came to ours and I asked his name ...

Your ten "must see" places in England..

Man of the Match - West Ham (a)

Mahrez for me - long may it continue, but what a prospect for rotation with Bernie and maybe even Cancello (spl?) for competition

    Manchester sight-seeing

I'm an exiled Manc living in Whitby, so I booked my youngest and myself on a couple of guided walks starting in Picadilly and was absolutely amazed by the history contained in the City centre which really needs to be pointed out by someone in the know. It made me so proud to be a part of this...

Best gig you've ever been to

Concur with that - he'd done Hammersmith in 75 and not gone down too well (as he perceived it), came back in 81 touring The River and conquered the world. I was at the NEC and Townsend came on for the encore(s), which was odd as The Who famously don't encore. Sprinsteen does about 10 (or did in...

    Vincent Kompany testimonial

Here's a prediction, from someone not ITK and with absolutely NO evidence: LG, NG and JM to perform live 'Wonderwall' on the pitch before or at half time. You heard it here first! Make it so Vincent, you only have to ask Then Rags can stick Hucknall and Olly Murs right up their own brown eye!

Why you supported our wonderful club

Cub trip from Middleton 1968, Wednesday night game against Everton on the title run in. Couldn't believe the lights and atmosphere, and City won (3-0 I think) City had Franny and Tony Coleman as wingers (Buzzer was CF at that time) Thus it all began! Good God, thats 50 years ago. Thanks Steve...
