PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

And yet City's actual mascot that day (in the keeper kit) had all the branding on her kit covered up with green tape. Those classless, opportunistic fuckers never miss a trick.

The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 Champion Is Hilts!

Slide Away's a great song but One Day Like This is a musical masterpiece... imo, of course ;)

Everything associated with my account is UK based, so it can't be that. I was back home in Manchester when applying/queuing the other week, and for all Ticketmaster know I still am. Presumably I'm one of the many people that have been classified as a bot.

I'm another one who meets all that criteria but hasn't received anything. Can't go to these new dates anyway so not stressing about it this time.

I'd imagine by "first" they meant that if any are left over, they'll open it up to others. But the chances of that happening are non-existent.

Same, despite getting through to the final page with 4 x ripoff in-demand tickets in my basket. Pretty impressive that they've managed to fuck this one up as well.

And he's now getting skewered for telling someone to 'SHUTUP' when they pulled him up on the ticket fiasco. Either the PR office is on fire or they've decided to just front it out.

But that's a completely different argument. Of course players could speak up. They'd likely be ignored by the people that actually make the decisions though.

At least the airlines/train companies/hotels have the decency to tell you "x amount of seats/rooms available at this price" before they increase it. Ticketmaster didn't issue any warning because demand would have fallen off a cliff at that point and then the price would have come back down if...

Your analogy doesn't work. In football, the players are employees of the club/CEO; they have no say in the matter. Oasis aren't employed by their management company; the management work for them. Noel is effectively the CEO. He could and should have put a stop to this, and just saying he wasn't...

Their PR agency has added a but of fluff to that statement but it's basically this: "We think dynamic pricing is shit and it had nothing to do with us. But we're going to keep all the additional money we made from it and make a shitload more from 2 extra dates. Ta."

    Oasis reunion

True, although it's Ticketmaster that offer it as an option in the first place. It shouldn't even be a thing for artists and promoters to consider.

They used it as an excuse to justify the obscene prices they were charging and drive up demand even more.

My opinion of them can't get much lower than it already is after the dynamic pricing shitshow, but if they went back on their promise that these shows wouldn't be televised, it would hit absolute rock bottom.

Can see why they chucked it in the bin

Heaton Park got hit hardest because the whole venue was "cheap" tickets. The other venues already had tickets priced well above 150 quid. They clearly had an idea of what revenue they wanted to generate but didn't have the bollocks to just advertise them all at 200-250 quid so took the shithouse...

I also refused to pay despite having 4 tickets in my basket. Would piss me off even more if they refunded them!

    Banning smoking in beer gardens

It was never really brought in to protect customers who have a choice though, it was brought in to protect staff who have no say in the matter. And that's absolutely the right approach in my opinion (even as a smoker).

Definitely not. At this point, all they can send you is an email/PDF and they could send that to as many people as they want. At least Viagogo (cunts that they are) will refund you if the tickets never materialise. Some random twat off Facebook certainly won't.

The physical tickets don't exist yet, but they can still be legit purchases. Viagogo send them out in the days before the event, which is another massive stress in itself. I've been through it with City tickets in Europe.
