Crikey, I haven't heard mention of those two shows in years. Currently watching Offspring on Netflix here in the UK. Very very funny (only seen season 1 so please don't say it falls off a cliff). I think it is set in Fitzroy. Best show I've seen in ages.

That's what it looked like to me but your comment made me curious so I had have had a quick play just now with the daily Gov.uk vaccine data released over the last couple of weeks. My conclusion is that - based on the data released yesterday - the rate of vaccination has indeed nearly...

    Hospitality/box experience at City

I've done Legends twice and the Mancunian once. Both are good for a special treat but I think the Mancunian edges it because you are on the halfway line rather than behind the goal. There was nothing wrong with the food at Legends but the meal at the Mancunian was very nice. I wouldn't mind...

    Keir Starmer

Ok, it wasn't clear to me that it was a quotation from someone else. It's an interesting topic. I am aware of evidence that supports part of the claim (modern workers vs hunter gatherers) but there is a mix of evidence on the other aspects (e.g. medieval serfs vs modern workers). One of the...

Can you please point to the evidence you are relying on to make this claim? Specifically on average hours worked.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

Cheers. I agree with you. What I was objecting to was the suggestion that the January spike was caused solely by Christmas Day get-togethers. Those gatherings were probably a factor, but not the only one, and possibly not even a very significant one, but we can't be sure.

See her post #13,844 which confirms she was talking about Xmas get-togethers.

Thanks, but I am actually looking for evidence that the Christmas Day get togethers caused the spike. That is what Healdplace said happened. Not the days/weeks either side. That is what the reference to a Merry Little Christmas means. The material you have offered actually undermines her...

UK wide numbers also looking good 1st dose: 482.1K, compared to 450.8K on the equivalent day last week 2nd dose: 15,187. Interesting that just under 30% of 2nd doses were in England and 42% were in Wales.
