Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Well done, they haven't responded to me in the past

Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Loads of speculation again based on a comment in The Guardian which was paraphrased on the BBC and couldn't even get the remaining time left on Raheem's contract correct. Must be true then!!

    United thread 2018/19

Brilliant from Maureen again! Thinks he's being clever and "amusing" but Amazon rubbing their hands. He's drawn the attention of a wider audience who will no doubt want to see what it's about. More subscribers, more money! When they've watched it they'll see what a sad, sad man Maureen is for...

    Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

I agree with Ian Wright and have a lot of time for the number of posters who have homed in on the Liverpool bias in the media. On the same page on the BBC as the Wright/Sterling article, the headline is about "Gerrards Rangers". I always thought the G stood for Glasgow. Maybe there's been a name...

Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Thanks Rolee, saved me a lot of time searching for something that's not there.

Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Can somebody help an old man out please? Is the contract problem out in the open or is it from newspaper rumours? I've had problems finding out what's actually going on other than some tales in gossip columns in rubbish papers. Thanks

    Liverpool thread 2017/18

With the dippers, isn't it anti-social media?

    United thread 2017/18

One of my grandchildren wants a "cartoon clock" so I went on eBay to search for one. Thousands from Frozen to Mickey Mouse. Noticed the related search suggested Man Utd Clock. Sums them up in one - ranked with Mickey Mouse on eBay!

    Aguero reportedly unhappy with Guardiola

Spot on! Thought he was terrific today. Didn't look like somebody who was upset with the manager. Although the story was in the papers so it must be true! Like the £350 million a week that's going to the NHS now we've Brexited.

    Girona FC 2017/2018

Interesting and (I think) fair article about Girona/CFG on the BBC football website, cleared up a few things I was unsure about.

    15/16 financial results - £20.5m profit announced

Given that not too long ago there was a huge loss to endure as the club tried to get a seat at the "top table". There now and profit making, with the key phrase used in the media (various sources) - "The club is debt free", it looks really good for the future.

    Vincent Kompany - 2016/17 performances

When I told the better half of my ancient relationship what had happened, she said "oh well, looks like Peps shown Vincent the door". Now there speaks a dictator, believe me.

The Long View, radio 4 today - Pep / Jose v. Mercer & Alison / Busby

Thoroughly enjoyed the programme. Worth a listen on catch up if you missed it.

Labour / Tory Party meltdown Referendum fallout

Fair summation that. Key opponents in the PLP and the hangers on include Milliband, Brown & Kinnock, all losers.

The next Prime Minister of Britain

Love the irony in what started as a big dick contest with Cameron/Johnson etc has seen a woman "win" it.

    Jimmy Frizzell RIP

Very saddened by the news. As stated earlier we were poor when he was with us, he never seemed to let it get to him though. A glass half full bloke.

    Aston Villa Thread 2016/17

Looking at the background of the owner he has low ambitions, his nickname is Foo Kin Lee Gwon!

    EU referendum

My prediction is this. It's a consultative referendum (no legal basis to it at all) and parliament have to ratify the outcome. It will be really close (either way) the "losers" will say it's too important to justify ratifying it so we have to do it all over again. Can't wait!

    EU referendum

The latest set of figures shows just that, more from outside the EU. The BBC have a section on their web called reality check which looks at both sides claims. Helping me to make some (not a lot) sense out of the bullshit from both camps.

How will Pep set us up?

No need, each day he will take 5 loaves and 2 fishes and feed the squad. Any injuries will be cured by them touching his robes. We will then inherit the earth.
