City to be charged for booing Champions League jingle (anthem)

I think the irony of the placards is lost on many, including UEFA. Haven't had a chance to check for photos in the press yet but it's on the BBC website. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand boos!

    Norwich post match thread

Make you right spacecadet, hope it's not an age thing (my state pension comes next year) for some to say that today we were "lucky to get what we deserved" is a bit rich I believe. Why not just we deserved it?

    Cruyff has lung cancer

Great player, probably one of the few in that Dutch side of the early 70's who didn't need the handfuls of "speed" dolled out by Rinus 'The Chemist' Michels before games. Smoked like a chimney until his heart nearly packed in altogether. Quad bypass sorted it and he's not touched a tab since...

    2014/15 accounts released - £10.7m profit

I read that the Abu Dhabi royal family have overseas assets worth $1trillion. Seems to me they don't get "fed up" and walk away from anything. They're astute business people who know a winner. Long may that winner be City

Notice no comments from Maureen or Whingeing Wenger either.

    Player thread: James Milner (2014/15)

GX Blue agreed people are short sighted when it comes to Milner anyway. Most who don't rate him haven't seen the work he does when he hasn't got the ball. That doesn't often show up on TV. The people who go to match after match and sing his name know what he does. He will take some replacing...

Match Thread | Barcelona vs Man City (18/03/15)

I'm struggling to think of a better 45 mins from a player than I've just seen from Messi. Might have been better for us if he'd scored that penalty

Manchester City vs Hull City post match thread

I said earlier I can't find too much positive 2 bottles of West India porter and my memory is coming back. I was optimistic in finding 1 positive, there were non!

Manchester City vs Hull City post match thread

I'm always trying to see a positive, 40+ years following us I suppose it's natural. I'm struggling after this though. Comedy goal for them, lack of urgency from us and clueless about getting past a 9 man defence, again. Sergio's getting sharper maybe the best I can come up with.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Re: Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Threa About a railway station, there was a station called Ashburys for Belle Vue as well as Belle Vue station. Not so sure how the lines are these days but I'm sure they were from Picadilly.

Post Match Thread: City vs Boro

Sitting in a pub with a few blokes I used to work with, all Boro fans, I'm showing them some of the posts on here, they can't believe that people are having a pop at Milner. I'm with them on that. They all admit they laughed themselves silly when Ayala handled and fatty Dowd waved play on. I'm...

    Hated Footy Phrases...

Two that I can't stand:- "caught his trailing leg" and "wrapped his foot round the ball" They represent some bloody trick as far as I can see.

Who's Not playing by the rules now Mr Platini?

Re: Whos Not playing by the rules now Mr Platini?????? Didn't Blatter say earlier this season that there isn't anything racist? It could all be solved by a handshake? So what was in the handshake by Qatar to him?

    Northern Football League

Re Skelmersdale Amateur Cup games. I was at both matches, Skelmersdale had Heighway in the team for both games. Skem had a penalty saved at Wembley and were basically deflated, they didn't raise their game in the replay but the atmosphere was better at Maine Road I thought. Two very good games...
