    Failsworth blues

I grew up in Newton Heath, Albert Gardens, the next street along was Failsworth. At drinking age, The Robin Hood was our local, but most often we would go to Failsworth Pole (via The Lamb and Black Horse) Bridge Inn and our other regular 'local' The Pack Horse. Tommy and Lesley Lowe (R.I.P...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I left many years ago, but still go back most weeks as my dad is still there (Albert Gardens, backs onto Brookdale Park) and can't argue that it is deteriorating rapidly, especially south of Droylsden Rd. And I still shout 'Get out of our fuckin pub' whenever I pass what was The Robin Hood ... :-(

Anyone mastered the guitar on here?

Going right back to the OP's question .... nope, I don't believe anybody truly 'masters' the guitar. Kebabs

Exactly. Our first kebab experience was late 70's .... Oxford St. next to Odeon cinema. Donner or shish on a pitta, salad and lemon juice. Done. Superb stuff ... like the Greek gyros you get there now, minus the chips.

    Holidays

It's my wife's 'big' birthday next year. Have just booked this villa on Lefkada for a week to celebrate it. Great location, private pool, hire car and flights included. Cost an arm and a leg, but she deserves it putting up with me for 34 years. :-)
