Match Thread | Man City vs. Man United (03/03/24)

We have to win this. Not for the league but for the sake of not seeing that Rashford goal on all Sky Premier League adverts for the next ten years.

Who Would You Consider 'Mr Manchester City' Today...?

I definitely lean towards DeBruyne and Rodders is a great shout too, but I just feel that if he hadn't been plagued by injuries over the years Stones would have been in with a shout. IMHO he won the Champs League final for us last year (and again I know Rodders played his obvious massive part)...

Oh lordy, it's going to be an absolute cricket score against the Dippers. It'll be so bad Brent DeCesare will step out of the Forest closet.

Game management much better towards the end, still a bit cagey though. Hopefully we can crack on from here and start building some momentum. Never seen a fan base that doesn't have any songs, just whinging for 90 mins.

Game management was piss poor today. I'm still clinging to the hope that this is just undercooked City. We've played like this before going in to December and come out after New Years several points ahead on top. I think after Xmas we'll know if the appetite is there or not this season.

Based on what? Arsenal essentially had a free run at the league with us last year and fell to bits the minute any pressure was put on them. The scousers aren't pulling up trees at the moment had a bad year last year but they've started picking up points in games they'd have lost last year.

Premier League Games 2/3 Dec '23

They're not way better, Arsenal maybe shade it on quality, but the scousers are mentally more resilient and still have some decent experience in the team. Arsenal are all piss and vinegar and I don't think they have it in them come the business end of the season.

They're beating a depleted Wolves team at home. They'll finish third behind us and the scousers this year.

    Terry Venables RIP

Summed up really nice I was 10 during 1996 and I'm not if sure i'm romanticising it through the lens of nostalgia but I've genuinely never seen a better vibe and sense of unity in this country. It seemed like everyone was just absolutely buzzing. The music, the football, the weather. El Tel was...

Indeed. Pressumably people applying this logic are happy to have Farage as a representative for all the over 50s in the world.

That was annoying. Still a point clear ahead of the rest I've have snapped your hand off to be in this position after the Arsenal game. Imagine if Sterling had ever shown that much bollocks in any game he played for us against Liverpool.
