I've been guilty of being very abusive quite a few times over the last couple of days and I've just been thinking along pretty much the same lines myself. Fans are angry, very angry. Emotions are running high and people go OTT. The clubs in question do have a lot to answer for.

I'm glad that it's an admission that they were chasing the money but in the process of doing so forgot about how the fans would feel.

Well the first thing they need to do is issue a statement as to why they thought this was a good idea. Then an admittance that they didn't consult their fans at all and misread completely how they would react. An apology for all the hurt and angst they've caused wouldn't go amiss either.

The hierarchy of our club thought it was acceptable to sit round the table to discuss the idea of the ESL with the very people who have systematically tried to destroy us over the last few years. For many fans that's going to leave a very bitter taste in their mouths for a long time.

We had no choice but to join according to some on here but we pulled out of it pretty damn quickly when the club realised they'd made a monumental fuck up. Doesn't compute does it?

Mad isn't it? We hate those clubs for what they stand for and what they've done in this instance. But for some of our fans City acting in exactly the same way is OK because we were forced to do it.
