The only City manager I really wanted sacking was Ron Saunders. He may have won the title with Villa and his team may have won the European Cup, but his playing style bored me to distraction.
I am struggling to recognise some of the players in the pre-season photo from 1964.
My guess is:
Gomersall, Kevan, Cheetham, Dowd, Wood, Kennedy, Murray
Stobart, Bacuzzi, Connor, Oakes, Wagstaffe, Pardoe, Gray.
Why no Neil Young (injured)?
Yes, its a Matchday Season Ticket. It costs £74 for the season and covers travel throughout the Metrolink network on every matchday.
One season, we forgot to tick the box on the season ticket renewal form and had to queue up and buy tickets to return after the match. It was a real pain.
A few years ago, myself and my son used to go for a European pre-meal at La Viňa on Deansgate. You could be sure that if City were playing Barca, most of the waiters would be Real Madrid fans. That was because all the Barca fans would have booked a day's holiday and been at the match, presumably...
There aren’t even any direct trains to anywhere from Singapore, not even to Malaysia. You have to do two walks through each customs post before getting a train across the causeway to Malaysia.
But it will never happen. The FA have spent zillions on developing the white elephant so they will continue to use it.
This discussion is a waste of bandwidth.
It was originally Clarke's in Rusholme. I bought several items from Roy back then.
As far as I can recall, it remained that until Roy took over as manager of the City Social Club.
I am not convinced by the conspiracy theories posted here. For years I have seen long-standing season ticket holders posting on here that they have never been to a Champions League match and had no intention of ever going to one. This always leaves seats to fill.
Now we are getting moans about...
I blame the demise of the away goals rule. When it was in play City lost ‘drawn’ ties three time against Sporting, Monaco, and Spurs. Now is is gone City lost to Real Madrid when they would have won had it been retained.
Uncompetitive?
There are two points between the top three. with six to play. There have been five different winners in the last eleven seasons.
Compare that with Germany where Bayern won nine in a row. Try France with PSG dominant. How about Italy where Juventus won loads of titles? Spain has...
We have fast track tram tickets and haven't really been held at the barrier once this season. I think that the most we have waited for a tram after a match is five minutes.
