    Josko Gvardiol

I think that's a far less realistic scenario than city haven't offered 100m euros yet.

    Josko Gvardiol

That has nothing to do with the idea of “city are just waiting for Leipzig to get their replacements so Leipzig don’t get ripped off”

    Josko Gvardiol

I don't get this when they've already sold Nkunku and Szoboslai for ~150m euros. And it's not like the Gvardiol deal is a secret, the teams with the replacements aren't dumb.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Cancelo wasn't on there since being loaned out. And the expectation is he won't be playing for City again, even if that means he's loaned out again, so it makes sense to leave him off imo

Not sure if this needs to be pointed out but the CL squad doesn't need to be submitted until right before the group stage starts. Really not blocking any incomings if they know what they'll be doing any of Perrone, Gomez, Laporte.

    Josko Gvardiol

I think Bernardo was a quiet one, but that seems to be the exception since it was a bit out of the blue. The whole world knows about Gvardiol to City, seems far fetched it wouldn't be tipped off if he was already doing medical/media.

    Josko Gvardiol

I find it very hard to believe any of that has happened without the media reporting a fee has been agreed.

L'equipe saying it too, so that's Leipzig's replacement sorted.

Heard this the last two weeks

    Josko Gvardiol

No doubt about that, just another victim of this system like Cancelo and Walker.

    Josko Gvardiol

The issue for Laporte is he’s basically only able to play the middle CB role in the 3-2 build up. Stones and Gvardiol have versatility and I think Gvardiol may even be tested in the Stones role sometimes.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Why would you want to pay 98m pounds next season, and deal with an unhappy player in the squad, when he’s (likely) available for 85ish right now?

    Josko Gvardiol

    It’s never been 100m pounds, it’s euros.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

There is one slot available in CL List A, not counting Cancelo since he'll be loaned at in worst case scenario. Gvardiol would swap with Laporte. So would just need to lose one more to gain two (and that could easily be Gomez). I don't think it'll be a challenge to get the necessary room if needed

    Marc Cucurella

Unlikely with 4 years left on his contract. They could keep him for 2 years and still get 40m, zero urgency to sell below their value.

    80 | Cole Palmer - 2022/23 Performances

I think this was assumed but Jack Gaughan confirms City asked England U21 not to select Palmer so he could recover https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10988947/Raheem-Sterling-wants-main-man-Manchester-City-feel-time-right-divorce.html

There it is, Bernardo to NYCFC.

Bernardo's not extending with 3 years left on his deal, especially not when he wants to leave

Every respect...except expected assists, shot creating actions, carries into the penalty area, progressive passes, the things that will be important when playing with a world class striker.

Which reads to me like Cucurella is only if Zinchenko leaves. Given the reported movement and push for Cucurella, sounds like they're pretty sure Zinchenko will be leaving.
