Schalke post match thread

I recall seeing that the ref had a huge boner when he rushed to get his yellow card out and send Otamendi off. Did anyone else see it?

    A football fans Dilemma

Don't ever, ever, ever forget that f'king banner that the club condoned. Don't ever forget Kean tackle on Alfie, or the disrespect of "not in my lifetime" taggert. Don't forget the teasing and shit we put up with for 30 years from those self righteous twats. The rags are Stretford scum and...

    Jesus Navas

He worked hard, but drove me f@@king nuts with his poor crosses and wasted chances. Couldn't score in a brothel. Obviously one of Pellegrini's favourites and didn't deserve to start more than Milner.

Liverpool (h) CL QF pre-match thread

They should play the bus video on the big screens to set the stage.

    What are your Wembley plans?

Leaving from Seattle on Friday afternoon. Icelandair to Heathrow, then up to Manchester to see my parents. My Dad's in a care home and he'll be 80 next week and is a lifelong blue but dementia has taken it's toll. Have a few beers Saturday night, then off down sowf in a minibus to Wembley on...

Fan Perceptions of Commercialisation in Football: A Case Study of Manchester City FC

Done. I live in the States these days but am a lifelong blue (ex Platt Lane and Kippax season ticket holder) and just have to say I hate the rags. How about a survey on why the rags are the most hated club?

    The forgotten few

Kazimierz Deyna........a Polish legend. I remember him scoring a free kick against Leeds away. I read somewhere that City bought him for 100k equivalent in washing machines and the like, such was the Polish economy. Died in a car crash in San Diego. RIP blue legend.

Matchday coverage on the NEW OS web site

I think it shows up as a link on the Match Day page on game day, but may be mistaken. The new site's crap for navigating and really slow to load.

    Where were you when...

Where were you when...... Dennis Law back heeled in 1974? I was very fortunate to be there and witness the pitch invasion and the greatest relegation ever. I dream of a repeat in my lifetime.

    The battle for 4th place

A verse of "Blowing Bubbles" wouldn't go amiss at the Swansea game in honor of our hammers friends.

Yank fans can you help me please

For San Diego, the best place is the Shakespeare Pub on India Street. I've lived here since 1990 and can tell you that it is where most Brits go. You can get a good English breakfast too! I'd say just come over to my house, but I've just sold it and am moving to Seattle. Trust my advice, I'm a...

    Edin Dzeko (continued)

Here's a thought..... There used to be a City player who also wasn't a star performer week in week out, but he was a blue through and through. Each week he'd be the scapegoat, as there usually is when teams aren't always winning. You're probably wondering who the fuck I'm talking about. Well...

    Edin Dzeko (continued)

He may not have had his best game, but not everyone can all the time. His heart is in the right place and doesn't whine, or ask for a transfer. Get off his back and support the lad. I hope he gets a hat trick next week and shuts those that are slagging him off up.

    Toure or Tueart goal ?

I know this falls outside of the topic, but let's not forget Steve McKenzie's beauty in the '81 FA Cup Replay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTQBAP2RWXY

    Your standout City memory...

Dennis Law's back heel. I was ten, with my Mum , Dad and brother in the Owed Trafford main stand. Pitch invasion, horses on the field, the works. Best feeling ever when those red bastards went down. CTID. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRgAW_lvplo"...

    Overseas blues tuning in...

I'll be in Seattle ready for a 7:00am kick off. I watched the Newcastle game last week in a pub in San Diego (I'm relocating there) with half a dozen blues, a couple of yank Newcastle fans and about 20 rags. It was great celebrating Yaya's goals in front of the rags!!!!

    8.30am kick off for me...

5:30am for me in San Diego. I always have to be there "in the moment".
