But getting them to move mid-season is the other stumbling block unless they are not involved in any title charges or race for European places (or even relegation battles). Still have to throw more money to try and convince them to take the plunge.
Availbility is the huge stumbling block as the players are just as valuable to the selling clubs. Bump up the price to more ridiculous levels than usual
Foden. Savinho to some degree, Doku, Bernardo Silva, Grealish to some extent too for starters. See what Palmer is like against the most defensive sides and he wouldn't fair any better than our lads.
It is the truth. He would have struggled against low blocking sides for starters. He is a decent finisher but not better than our current side. Put his current Chelsea to one side for a minute.
There haven't been any outstanding teams out of the current title contenders. Whilst we look unlikely in our current state we could easily get back in if we get a few more players back and get back into the winning habit.
Palmer still would be wasting chances if he is at City. Same with our current players. He wouldn't have added anything different that we haven't got (apart from being fit)
It would be interesting to see how Palmer does against low block sides. I am not sure he has the overall quality to do so in open play. Spurs like to attack and like to leave gaps which is an ideal game for Palmer. In even our recent defeat we still had plenty of chances.
