Who's the most famous person you have stood/sat next to.....

Re: Who's the most famous person you have stood/sat next to. Just thought of another. Billy from the TV series Bread had a season ticket infront of me for years as well.

Who's the most famous person you have stood/sat next to.....

Re: Who's the most famous person you have stood/sat next to. Years ago when Graeme Souness was Rangers manager he was at Maine Road in the Main Stand with a scarf wrapped round his face hoping nobody knew who he was? think he was watching Lakey. Anyway that was right by me. Also Phil Neal and...

Biggest C**T to ever play for city

It was at the Platt Lane End against Rotherham. I went to the return match at Millmoor and there fans were still fuming about it then. He also scored in Cardiff against TNS.

    Here comes the thunder.......

Yep I've just been in contact with friends near Leigh and they have said exactly the same thing. Hail stones and all sorts. Nothing here in Whalley Range.

Biggest C**T to ever play for city

Robert Hopkins was basically a journeyman player that was part of the infamous Birmingham Six that included Mick Harford, Tony Coton and others who would fight with anyone on a night out. Doorman, other teams supporters. Nothing was out of bounds. I've put a link to some of the exploits they got...

Biggest C**T to ever play for city

From what I know he was generally an absolute thug who was always spoiling for a fight. As well as being an absolute piss head. I vaguely recall quite a few City fans being pretty pissed off when we signed him as his reputation away from the pitch was that bad.

Biggest C**T to ever play for city

I wondered if his name would get mentioned in this thread and noticed it has several times. Wasn't he part of the infamously nicknamed 'Birmingham Six' along with Tony Coton, Mick Harford etc who used to basically roam around Birmingham city centre picking fights with doorman and anyone who got...

Having read about the Watson header against Ipswich so many times on here it's nice to finally see it.

    Pablo Zabaleta's popularity

I think another reason his stock is so high with us Blues is the way in which he has made Manchester his home, and actually been bothered to learn the language unlike a certain other former team mate of his. I'm glad to see Sergio seems to look up to him from that point of view as well.

Manchester City v Liverpool 1977 and last season?

Some cracking answers and memories posted in this thread. I've seen Alan Balls named mentioned before. Now obviously I know he was a great player although by this time possibly past his best? could/would he have made a difference?

Manchester City v Liverpool 1977 and last season?

Fair enough mate. I spoke to my Dad about it earlier but he'd moved away from Manchester in 1969 the year after we won the title. He didn't have a grasp of any local feel. Just said he was pissed off with Liverpool fans down south at the time.

Your top 5 games of the 13-14 season.

I can't do this in any order but hey ho... United at home was just such a one sided performance it was unreal. United away was even more of a one sided performance but by this point we knew they weren't a threat to what we needed to do. Palace away was when I knew things had swung our way...

Manchester City v Liverpool 1977 and last season?

So this season just gone was perhaps the first time we have been in direct competition with the Scousers for the title since 1977 and this time we did it. I know from stuff I've read on here previously that people think had Colin Bell not been injured we might have won the title back then? I'm...
