Looking forward to seeing the end of R2 table, especially after what @Mad Eyed Screamer said a few pages ago.

The Album Review Club - Christmas Break Until 8th January

You remain a master of the quote, or at least a single sentence that hints at a fascinating story :)

The Album Review Club - Christmas Break Until 8th January

Some good non-music points in there, Mr B. I think that the world is tough on younger people in certain ways - certainly the price of houses and cars being obvious examples - but as you illustrate, for most people the standard of living in this country is exceptionally high. People moaning...

Did it 5 years ago. One of our favourite city breaks. Also nipped across the Oresund Bridge to Malmo for half a day as well so now I can say I've been to Sweden!

Sounds good. We've done a few trips (including Geneva last year and Venice this year) where we fly out on the Saturday morning and return on the Sunday night. Like you say, it is dependent on minimal flights delays, but so far it's always worked out OK for us. I enjoyed Brussels - The Atomium...

The Album Review Club - Christmas Break Until 8th January

Sounds great on paper, like it might be my cup of tea. I have listened to Gary Clark Jr. songs before; couldn't tell you the names of songs or what albums they were from, but having the focus of an album to listen to a whole album without skipping onto the next thing will be good. And...

The Album Review Club - Christmas Break Until 8th January

Lovers Electric by the band of the same name scored an average of just 5.59. Once again, it was a different pick that seemed to satisfy @southamptonblue 's low bar of just getting "one person" to appreciate it. Based on the scores, more than one person seemed to be tapping their foot to this...

@Coatigan - we might be able to call this one this morning after all. Out of the regulars, there's only @bennyboy who's not cast a vote yet.

    Blue Moon Playlist Review Club - Season 2 - Episode 28 - Coatigan - Instrumentals (pg 444)

I watched this video, just out of interest. The conclusion is that his main themes are not copies - but some of the incidental music may be guided by directors instructions based on a temp track they've used before the main score is composed.
